Tonight's show is going to be split into two parts...

The first 30-45 minutes will be all about the Dolphins and other NFL happenings (owners opting out of labor agreement? Is Belichick's soul two sizes too small? Brian Urlacher's (and others) hard-line stand over contracts...is it fair?).

Second half of the show will be baseball and fantasy baseball. Some of the things on the yack list for baseball are:

* Young emerging players like Edinson Volquez, Ryan Church, Joey Votto, etc...
* Possible call-ups on the horizon (Clayton Kershaw, Jay Bruce, Chase Headley, etc...)
* Marlins...how long can they stay in contention with their pitching? Is Dan Uggla human, or a mutant freak?

Other topics are always open, and totally at callers' suggestion.

A couple of thoughts...

* A winning team is a whole lot more fun to talk about than a losing team.
* Baseball season is NEVER over...the important players just transition from the ones in cleats to the ones in wingtips.
* The next time you are on any sort of broadcast and have nothing to say...will be the first time. ;)

I made contact with several of the larger Rams chatboards, and expect that we'll have a guest on the show this Saturday to give us some insight into this week's opponent. Hopefully it will be David over at Clan Ram...I went through some of the threads there yesterday, and this guy reeeeally seems to know his Rams.

This is something I think I am going to try to do the rest of the season as a built-in segment...get a knowledgeable moderator from one of the opponent's fan sites and have him break his own team down for us. We'll see how that works...

What is there to say about the Rams exepct that they are quite possibly the worst team in the NFL? 

Hopefully about 29 and a half minutes worth...

Being bad doesn't make for less to talk about...it just makes for more depressing things to talk about. Or humorous things, if the pain belongs to some other team. You'd have to think that we could spend a few minutes commisserating on Linehan, right? Trent Green is back there...we can share concussion forecasts or something. We'll probably talk about the factors that contributed to the Rams' issues this year, and what areas they're looking to improve in FA and the draft this upcoming offseason, etc...

There is their problem : they draft horribly and the "fans" have been calling for Linehan's head for a year.  Man, the game Sunday should be fun.  I have a lot of payback to dish out.  Maybe I'll actually call in.  >:D

What is going to happen to the shows during the off season? I was told that it might come down to one show a week.

^^^ That is correct. FinsRadio.net is going to a once a week schedule starting "next" week. The new offseason show will be every Tuesday night at 8 PM. The hosts will be rotating, so one week it will be myself and Lil_B and one of the other guys, and then the next week, it will be Bitchin Dave and another host, and then Ken and another co-host, etc...

I'll be doing a separate NFL offseason report to basically cover ALL of the league's transactions from the front offices down, and that show will be Thursday nights at 8 PM. More to come on that...
