Title: Do you still think Jason Taylor will be traded this week? Post by: bsfins on April 22, 2008, 01:40:04 am Ok, Since it's looking more,and more like Jake Long OL is going to be our first over all pick in the draft this weekend.I think alot of people thought,Trade Jason Taylor for what ever we can get out of him,we'll draft Chris Long or Vernon Gholston to replace him.
I said on TDMMC Saturday night (probably didn't come out right) that I didn't think that either could replace Jason Taylor. I've also said I have no problems trading Jason Taylor as long as we get good pick/s for him...or something of value... Title: Re: Do you still think Jason Taylor will be traded this week? As much as I love watching him play, I'm actually hoping they parole him from this team so he gets his shot. It's good for him, it's good for the Dolphins.

1) We need a pash rusher. JT, though he did hurt us early in the year with dumb penalties, turned his game on during the second half of the season. He still has the ability to wreak havoc at DE/LB. Especially if we can get the right system, as in the one Saban used in 2006. 2) The window of opportunity for Taylor to win a title in Miami is not yet closed. Michael Strahan just won one in his fifteenth season with the giants. 3 years ago, they were the laughing stock of the league. 3) We need his veteran leadership. Answer honestly...did you consider any of the actual players who might be in the top-10 in next year's draft before posting that? Not that I wouldn't do that deal as well, because I might...but I'm curious whether you feel the first round pick next year is less valuable because of the players involved, because it is "next year," or because it's next year AND you think it will be a lower pick. |
