Title: I'm getting a bridge! Help! Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on May 05, 2008, 08:43:17 pm OK guys, I recently lost one of my back molars to infection. After two root canals, and an apicalectomy (done when a root canal goes bad), the tooth got infected for the 4th time, and I had to have it removed.
My current dentist layed out my options for me. A bridge or an implant. After looking over both procedures and considering the cost, as well as recovery time, I've chosen to go with a bridge. I am getting prepped for it this coming Friday. Has anyone here ever had one? Is it painful when they prep your two surrounding teeth and put on the temporary bridge? Please advise, ASAP!!!! (This is after my filling didn't work and I've been in pain since.) I HATE the dentist.

Even if they're black and rotten, try to keep the originals. They have some saying about as long as you have one, you'll have another one to tie it to...something like that.
