I picked Saban leaving for this round.

I don't think that Pats snowplow thing was that big of a deal.  It's fucked up and kinda funny in hindsight, but the guy probably would've made the kick anyway.

This is Brian, the writer on Phinphanatic.com and I wanted to personally thank Dave for putting this up for me.  Also thanks to all of you for voting.

I, like Dave, voted for Saban as well.  Although the league rules changed because of the "snow plow" game, historically I don't think it impacted the Phins all that much.

2 more events will be up tomorrow as well.

I am curious are you going to put up the death of David Overstreet ?

I actually thought about putting him up.  In the end, I decided not to as I thought that his death really didn't impact the history of the team, it was one of the worst moments for sure, but the impact on the team itself was not far reaching.  I really had a hard time deciding to put him on or leaving him off.  In the end I decided to leave him off.  He deserves far better than having his name on a list with Wannstedt, Fletcher, and Moore.

By the way, you can see the full bracket as it is now by scrolling below the poll.  Each day I will have another poll open...M-F.  Each poll will be open for 5 days.  My plan is to have this over just before the start of Training Camp...kind of a put the demons to rest and start new kind of thing.

I voted for Nick Saban.  Mostly because I wasn't born yet in '82.

Simeon:  Thans man, the cake was pretty funny, it took me awhile to figure out to get it to work...LOL.  Zach has really done a great job setting up the site.

I thought about that one as well in the end I didn't know if that was nescessarily the worst thing that could have happened, Robbies death itself was probably worse.

IMO, he's missing one key awful moment, from december 21, 1974.  When Kenny Stabler, with 26 seconds left, while being tackled by Vern Den Herder in the 1974 playoffs, threw a wounded duck of a pass that should have been intercepted, but Clarence Davis somehow caught in the end zone between three dolphin defenders. Oakland 28, Miami 26. That play, a complete heartbreaker,  ended the dolphins chance for a fourth superbowl in a row, and marked the end of the early 70's dynasty. The team would never regain such heights.

I put Saban in as well, although I think Cam Cameron comes out the clear winner.

I was actually celebrating when Saban left. Worst moment? Nah. Cameron wins, edging out Wannstedt.   :D

The worst moment I've seen was the finale in 2002.

That was our best shot an SB and we blew it away in less than 4 minutes

I didn't see it on the list but the JAX playoff game has to be the lowpoint in Dolphins history.

I wanted to let everyone know that there were two changes made to the bracket.  The loss to the Jaguars has been added and so has the loss to the Raiders in the 74 Playoff game.

I removed "Ricky Williams trade" and removed the 24-3 loss to the Cowboys in the SB as it was the catalyst for the 72 perfect season.

Some FYI.  Thanks everyone for visiting the site.  Today it's your favorite...Cam Cameron vs. Eddie "freaking" Moore...believe it or not, some people actually voted Moore...:)

I voted for Eddie Moore.  Cam Cameron's failure's weren't all his own.  He inherited a shit team, and kept it shitty for one year.  It's too early to judge him on his draft picks.

We hit rock bottom with Cameron, but I think we were heading there anyway.  Really...between 1 win and 4, what's the difference?  When you're that bad, does a few extra wins mean anything?

Eddie Moore busting cost us for a few years.  It was a pick that could've made a difference.  Cameron was in and out in one season, and no amount of coaching could've saved that turd of a team.

I'm surprised to see Marino's retirement getting as many votes as it has.  That was a worst moment?  He was old and couldn't play anymore.  His departure was right on time.  That, compared to an AFC Championship loss -- Jeez.

Dave I am a little surprised about the Marino retirement as well.  It was a sad day, but not one that was unexpected, perhaps it was the way it ended that sours the feel.

As for Cameron, I really didn't look at the situation he inherited compared to Moore...had I actually thought it through a bit more, I would have voted for Moore as well.

Marino's retirement was worse. Here's why:
I think the sentiment at the time was the same as after the SB loss, Marino is young, the team's core was young, MIA will be back for several more playoff runs.
Marino's retirement was the end of an era & also the way it ended was blasphemous. Marino's legs were shredded but with the right protection & a decent receiving corps he still could have been better than average at least for another year. This is why I loved the idea of him going to the Vikings with a young Moss & a still in his prime Carter it would have been 1984 all over again. This was also the beginning of the Wanny era so now you tell me which was worse

Holy Crap!!!!  The loss to the Redskins in Super Bowl XVII beat out Cam Cameron!!!!  The final round is going on.  Everyone get your vote on!!!!

I was extremely surprised as well.  I even opened it back for an extra 2 days because it was a tie.  Then it looked like it would be a tie after 2 days and then the next morning 2 votes were cast for the Super Bowl.

Needless to say I was shocked.

I voted for the Super Bowl loss, but I see I'm in the minority.

I don't think hiring Wanny was a bad move, especially at the time.  He turned out to be a turd coach, but still....winning or losing a Super Bowl is the ultimate win/loss.
