Title: Maybe I'm a sap, but this is awesome Post by: SportsChick on September 04, 2008, 10:18:28 am Okay, I know a lot of people complain about Red Sox Nation and annoying fans and all that jazz, but I just got teary after reading this story from the Boston Globe. This is what happens when people come together. Major props to the Sox and all who donated for this family.

Its great what the team and other fans did for these kids, but they only got this treatment because they lost their father. I bet if they got to choose between all this royal treatment and stuff and sitting in the bleeders with their father, they'd choose the latter. Don't get me wrong, I definitely think that its nice what they did, and I commend them for that, but its in no way a consolation for losing your father and your personal hero.
