I saw the "Henne Now" thread and I figured I might as well make a poll.

Pennington.  We need to have some patience and not make the same mistake(s) as last year.  That being said, the impatient people on this board probably outnumber the patient people.

Pennington, with the exception of an injury henne needs to sit and wacth the ENTIRE season.

YES and YES.  A nice vet to teach the young 'uns would be nice right about now.  I know Joe Horn's looking for work...

I voted Henne, but only because I want the Dolphins to lose.

You said the same thing about Beck and now he's "ruined" for life.

Let the kid sit.  Pennington was brought in for a reason.  Its been two games.

Pennington goes for 250 / and 1-2 TDs a game with even marginal talent at WR. 

Except for a promising young Qb.  But those are probably a dime a dozen.

A double ::)  ::)  on this... Beck was "ruined" long before he got to Miami... He was a minimally-talented QB who was grossly misevaluated by the former regime as being a decent QB prospect.

I still say Pennington should start until this young O-line starts protecting better...but no one "ruined" Beck.

Yes, I am not looking past the Dolphins.  If it was Brady I would be.  I have a lot of confidence in Cassel (more than most Patriots fans) but as they say, "any given Sunday".  In 2001, Brady won his first start against the Colts and Peyton Manning, then lost to the Dolphins and Jay Fiedler.

A couple lucky bounces and the Dolphins get up.  Cassel can managed the game and move the chains, but if the Pats are down by 5 with 2:00 on the clock in the 4th, I don't yet trust him to put together a 2 drill and win the game. 

Ireland went on the record right after they took over (before watching game film) saying that he and Parcells had had a very high draft "score" on Beck. It didn't seem like a case of just saying something nice about the players they were about to take over, but I guess anything is possible.

I have heard the same thing from Jeff Ireland himself on a Sirius NFL radio interview he did when they were broadcasting from Dolphins training camp.  He specifically said they liked what they saw from Beck and that he was improving daily and expected that he could be a servicable QB down the road.

I just say Give Penny the right to fuk it all up.  Not like  miami gonna be contenders for quite some time.   Let Henne study the clipboard.   Look at Romo while he was under Vinny and Bledsoe ?

It may not have seemed that way to you, but it most certainly did to me. I had to see it that way though, because the alternative is to admit that Ireland and Parcells aren't as savvy at personnel evaluation as I've given them credit for.

And, I agree with the receiver from the scrap heap. Bring Keyshawn or Joe Horn...Hell bring them BOTH in.

Add Chad Jackson to that list too.  Get rid of Hagan and Wilford as they have very little trade value if any at all, and try to trade Ginn.

  If Chad Jackson is not good enough to be signed by the team before I really do not see why they would be interested now. 

Barring injury I do not expect them to be interested in Jackson & when you factor in Seattle is also not interested in his services, means he might just be equal to what they already have.

Yeap, he seems to believe constant change will make things better.  Needs to realize that building a fountain is not something Barbara Eden can do.  ( Showing my age here ) & you have to struggle in the beginning.

There's no reason for Henne to start now.
Fans need to manage their expectations for this season.
This is a 3 year process at best.
Pennington is the hand we've been dealt this season.
His arm strength reminds me of ELF but he is 10 times smarter & more accurate.
Unless we're in a wildcard race in Nov (unlikely) - let Henne start at home against the Raiders

Penny.......I kinda like the guy. Its not his fault if he has the Worst receiver squad in the NFL.  :P

I got bagged for the Henne hopes earlier this week...but I'm not hoping for that for 7 or 8 weeks.  Pennington is a no-brainer vs. the Pats, and I'm glad to see the polling votes reflect that.

You were among us few dude. We're with ya, and you made EXCELLENT points. Noodles won't be leading our team forever, thank GOD. But yeah, C.P. needs to get beat around by NE. A rookie doesn't deserve that punishment yet.

So most of you think that Pennington should start.  Let me ask another question... is it ok to give Henne some work when the game goes into "garbage time"?

I'm going to say that writing everything in red is just a small, small step up from all-caps (only because it's easier to read than all-caps). The main point is the same... a 3rd-grader-ish "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!". My suggestion would be to try and draw attention to your posts by their content the appearance of the letters.
