Title: Shame of the Game - Patriots
Post by: jtex316 on September 21, 2008, 03:22:14 pm
Dolphins Fans.

For being obnoxious idiots, jumping up and down like hyenas because NE forgot to show up today. I'm starting to believe Dolphins Fans are amongst the worst fans in the NFL, among Eagles and Raiders fans. Now you think you're going to the Super Bowl, after a full week of non-stop bitching and whining about every play and every call and every player on the Dolphins roster?

Screw off.

You know what, JTex?  You're right.  Dolphins fans get my shame of the game too, for thinking that the third rebuild in 4 years would come instantaneously.  Today's fun, but this is still an 8-8 team.

Plus, the entire team played ridiculously well...there's no one to pick!

My Shame of the Game goes to the Special Teams for allowing two long returns by Ellis Hobbs.... one of which resulted in a TD that put the Pats right back in the game and gave them some life.  Had our offense not answered with a score like they did, the Pats would've come out swinging next time they had the ball.

Honorable Mention to Renaldo Hill for not only letting a sure pick go through his hands, but then allowing Wes Welker to catch it after he bobbled it.

If there is a shame of the game this week it for the reason Tommy gave, the second shame is the fact New England scored any points. Yo the worst football fans in the world were humiliated in their own stadium, it was great seeing them so down, I almost felt bad for them,,,, no I didn't I savored it!

You should worry about your own team's shitty performance at home against the mighty Bengals.

Jtex gets my vote to for thinking that because we have sucked for so long, and still may suck this year that we should just go hang ourselves. And for having the audacity to trash the Phins after that STUNNING Giants performance against the Bengals. So, with that being said, kindly go screw yourself, Kotex.

Special teams have to do a better job of keep their lanes on punts and kickoffs.

It was only 1 game. Big deal. I can see your happy but "it was great seeing them so down".  The Pats have done so much for the fans over the years trust me seeing people leave don't mean their down. They knew the pats were going to lose and if you ever been to the stadium parking sucks so they were getting a jump on things. I think you feel this way because the dolphins have been so disappointing over the years.
So don't get us confused. This is are first reg season loss in I dont know how long.

Dam I forgot its been so long, so used to winning.  Thats why you guys are so happy because you were all writing off the phins this week and luck came there way today and they pulled one out their ass. Lets see what happens next for both Pats and Miami.

My shame of the game nominee would go to ...

Renaldo Hill for blowing 2 interceptions .  One of them was tipped in the air to allow Wes welker to catch. Then the Pats scored after that!

Also , the secondary.  God we need help other than Yeremiah Bell.

Luck? Deal with it. You guys got your asses kicked. And don't give me this 'Awww, we don't have Brady' bullshit. We haven't had a quarterback since Marino, and we've made the playoffs since then, and were a shoo in for the Superbowl in 2002 until Ray Pucas got to start due to Fiedler getting hurt. Case in point, Fiedler was a solid backup at best. So, you get no sympathy here for your QB woes.

That is nonsense!!! I live in New England and I know how the Pats fans are, they believe everything should be handed to them.
Many but not all patriot fans have been smug and in people faces about their team. Yes the patriot fans were down and confused in this game they kept showing the shock on their faces, they had no clue what to do or how to take it, so they went home early. By the way that wasn't an earthquake this afternoon that was everyone jumping off the bandwagon. Don't get me wrong there are classy Patriot fans out there and some on this board like sportschick and hoodie, one my best friends is a patriots fan, even he agree's the average patsies fan is pathetic. I feel no pity for the patriots and I enjoyed the beating and humiliation it brought to the patriots, a little humility goes a long way if New England learns from it. Now go tell your team to write a book about that.......

The Patriots fans are so upset with not knowing how to lose gracefully, they leave the stadium with 14 minutes left in the 4th quarter?  Is rain falling on the fair-weathered parade?

And to Joe - honestly - we won 1 (now 2) games out of the last 21 tries.  Do you expect us to not be happy?  You really think that we're just gonna say "oh, ho-hum, we won, no big deal"  Its a VERY big deal.

My SOTG goes to the shittiest announcer team CBS has to offer.  Ian Eagle and Solomon Wilcots.  Terrible.  EMBARRASSING.  Honorable mention to the Pats' fans that left early and to Joe for being a dumbass.

JTEX, your bitterness is unmatched.  I bow to you, sir.

That's actually not true.  He's a needy little boy craving attention and has nothing better to do.  He doesn't believe in 99% of the crap he tosses around - he just does it because it's easy to stir shit up safely behind the confines of his computer.

I could actually respect someone that had actual opinions about things and reasons why those opinions exist.  The Jtex's of the world are the people that say things just to hear themselves talk.

I loved it when the camera zoomed in on the crowd and the fans were all starring blankly most clutching a beer like a saftey blanket.  They really ARE NOT used to losing and its almost facinating if not really enjoyable watching them stare in amazment as there Team loses in 2 games out of their last 4 in unbelievble fashion.  :D :D

Rationalize it however you want ........the Pats run is OVER bro. Too bad you lost a first rounder for cheating.......you could have used that pick to score you a decent Back up QB.  :D

Hey sportschick none of this stuff is directed at you, thanks for being a classy Pats fan.
Yes I heard they are strong on the third string QB they have, the announcers said he had a great college career.
It is always good to have a great back up. Honestly we don't really know what we have on the bench in Miami. We have a guy who stunk up the place last year on third string and a rookie as back up.

He did have a strong college career.  But he played at San Diego State, which is in the same conference as Hawaii if I'm not mistaken.  He did look good in the one drive he was in.

Kevin O'Connell was a 3rd round pick for them, so the team sees something in him, and more often than not, they've been decent with drafting. But he's a rookie in what is generally known to be a difficult offense so I think that's why they're not quite ready to toss him out there. They don't want to ruin him too early. I wouldn't be surprised if he has the reins of this team before the season is out though.

Dolphins Fans.

For being obnoxious idiots, jumping up and down like hyenas because NE forgot to show up today.
Whereas I'm sure Giants fans remain totally calm and laid back whenever their team wins, right?
Or maybe NE simply isn't that good right now after Brady's lost for the season, their D appears to have aged overnight, and Belichick no longer can use videotape to help him make halftime adjustments and/or Miami is better than what most people expected.
Now you think you're going to the Super Bowl, after a full week of non-stop bitching and whining about every play and every call and every player on the Dolphins roster?
Even after the 'Phins embarrassed the Patsies, the vast majority of fans that I've seen have a hard time believing that they'll make the playoffs, much less the SB.
Here you might actually have a legitimate complaint about a large number of Dolphins' fans.  Speaking for myself, however, I think a bunch of them simply had unrealistic expectations heightened by the pre-season three game win streak.

That's because some people find it easier to attack the presentation than the argument itself.  And as long as it's not a mod, why should I let what other people think about me upset me?

Ease up, I don't think it's an attack on content........just a prediction (or maybe a guess) from Tenshot that it would get a negative reaction from the mods.  He was right about that.   I didn't say anything the first time I saw the multicolored post, hoping it would be the last.  It was, so no big deal.   Welcome to the board.

I actually kinda like the color-coordination.  If you notice, the color in the reply matches the color in the quote of the point being addressed.

Anyway, Welcome to the boards!  Hit up the Roll Call thread in the Off-Topic Forum when you get a chance.
