Thanks to everyone who participated in the first three "chapters" of the TDMMC Photo Contest.  Although the last topic was kinda difficult and abstract, I hope this one will render a bit more interest.

For the record...

Here are the rules:

1.) Each participant has 2 weeks to hit the road, plan, and execute their entry for the contest.
2.) Entries will be emailed to me.  Please limit your photo to a reasonable 800x600 resolution.  I don't need 10MP photos and I don't wanna have to spend my time resizing.
3.) Photoshopping is allowed, but please refrain from making this a photoshop contest.  No composites or major manipulations (panoramics, selective color, etc).
4.) Photos should be newly taken, not unearthed from the depths of your hard drive.
5.) Photos will be posted on these forums and voted on by members of the congregation.
6.) All entries deemed "not safe for work" will be disqualified, so no porn or nudity please.
7.) The contest is very dependent upon the honor system, and the prizes aren't good enough for you to compromise your honor.  Please do the right thing.

All of the TDMMC Faithful readers.

The fourth category will be:
Circles are everywhere around us.  Pick up your camera and go somewhere and take a picture of some!  I took this shot of Chinese umbrellas a year ago.  As you can see, the main geometric element in your picture should be circular, or some varied form thereof.

Remember, the object here is to grab your camera and go out and take new pictures!  So get out there and start shooting. 

The deadline for Chapter 4 entries will be October 5th, at which time all entries will be posted (anonymously, by me) for voting by the judges and Chapter 5 will be posted. 

Please email your entries to photos@thedolphinsmakemecry.com.  DO NOT POST ENTRIES IN THIS THREAD!  In your email, please include your photo, your TDMMC screen name, what the subject is, what camera (and lens, if applicable) you used for the shot, and your settings, if possible.

Did we post Chapter 3 photos and I miss it?

Not yet - they'll be posted tonight.

That was kind of a tough subject. If I win by default, I'll still post in the How'd You Do that section. I don't want to win by default though! Come on, people!

You won't win by default.  I will put in an entry so at least we'll battle it out head-to-head.

Question..If I take a better picture, can I replace the one I already sent in?

You're not alone...  I guess this was a "hard" topic too.

It was. And so is "Fall", btw. Any photo that can't be taken in my home or within a short distance of it is "hard".

Your first pic was so awesome, I thought, but nothing since then?  What gives?  You have the vision...  just busy?
