Title: Scott Kazmir...WTF? Post by: MaineDolFan on September 25, 2008, 02:37:52 pm What is wrong with Scott Kazmir? This is a bad time of year for something to be wrong with him. Tampa needs Kazmir if they are planning on getting past either Anaheim or Boston in a seven game set that is going to see them on the road for three straight in that set.
Kazmir's ERA for the season is 3.36 and that doesn't tell the whole tale. His past ten starts he's been lit up for a 4.30 ERA (a staggering whole point above his season average) and he hasn't made it out of the 5th inning in five of those starts. He's given up 42 hits and 25 runs in a course of 52.1 innings and issued 33 free passes. It's not like he's playing against the best of the best, either. These are starts against Oakland, Detroit, Cleveland, Oakland... Fast forward to today. He's been lit up like Uncle Al on Christmas Eve against the Tigers. Six hits, four earned runs and two more BOB's in 5 innings pitched. If I am Tampa - I am praying to God that everything is right with this kid. Because it sure looks like something might be off. Title: Re: Scott Kazmir...WTF? Post by: Denver_Bronco on September 26, 2008, 11:52:17 am He's saving his bullets to shut down Boston like he usually does.
Title: Re: Scott Kazmir...WTF? Post by: MaineDolFan on September 26, 2008, 02:07:48 pm ^^Good call. He really has Boston's number this year. 0-2 in 4 starts and a 9.00 ERA. Whoooo, boy. You nailed that one. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.
But hey, out side of this season he's 5-5 life time against Boston. Sure does shut down those Red Sox. Man. You're just never right about anything, are you? Kind of sad. |
