So - this is a tough one.... I'm going with Camarillo. He pretty much saved the game for us, before we went and gave it away again at the end. After that play, it's official ... the guy is "Largent-esque".Steve Largent did the same thing to big name Bronco safety in a playoff game in the 80's. I'm not sure if he's as quick and versatile as Wes Welker, but he's close. This may sound strange, but I think Camarillo is a better player than Welker. Don't get me wrong, Welker is a fine player, but he's a slot receiver who cannot play wide effectively. He plays smart, makes good reads and has the running back-like strength to play slot very well, but he needs two good receivers to create the space underneath. If he has that, he can get some truly impressive numbers (see last year). If he doesn't have the wide receivers (and quarterback needed to throw to those receivers), his effectiveness is limited. Now, New England still run A LOT of quick slants and similar plays (which I wish we would do - Bess is our Welker, not Camarillo). That means Welker still gets lots of receptions and yards, but his yards per catch has been trending down ever since week 2 - and even that week 2 high was below last years average!
