Title: Should we play for the playoffs or for 2009 Post by: dolphins4life on October 12, 2008, 05:03:01 pm Ok, here's where we stand now:
We're 2-3 we have several teams we're going to be competing with in the wildcard. SD, Indy, Bal, Cle, NYJ, Buf, NE SD we have wildcard tiebreakers for, Bal we can get if we beat them, but it seems impossible to overtake six of these teams. So one question I have is, should we shelve the wildcat for this season, and break it out again in 2009, when we'll be playing for a playoff spot? Also, is Chad Pennington going to be our 2009 quarterback. I think we need to make that decision soon. We have a "culture of losing" that we need to turn around. That's more important that getting young guys reps or getting a better draft pick.
I think we should play every game to win, especially this early in the season. Even if that means they don't get as much playing time.
