Ronnie Brown for sucking ass again.  Ricky makes a bad offensive line good, and Ronnie needs a good offensive line to be good.

Pennington for the pick 6 and throwing a 2 yard pass on 4th and 7...I think I'm ready for Henne now...can't stand the ex-Jet anymore.

The O LIne wasn't giving Brown any running room. Not Brown's fault.

Pennington. This was a winnable game, but he gave the winning score to Baltimore.

Ronnie Brown had 12 carries for 14 yards, before adding a meaningless 13 yarder on his last carries. 

Pennington was 24/35 for 295 yards.  Yea he was the problem. lol

Yeah, lol, then give it to the O Line, lol Take those 7 points off of Baltimore's final score. What are you left with? a 7 point game. lol

Hard to rush for anything when the defense is 3 yards in the backfield at the hand off

They were stacking the box as other teams had been doing but we couldn't beat them.  This was a game that we needed someone to stretch the defense and unfortunately that's Pennington's weakness.

Shame goes to Penny  and the shit secondary miami has.  Hats off to Yeremiah bell for makin Mcgahee fumble.

Finally, an actual NFL defense laid the smack down on the circus side-show offense of the Miami Dolphins. There is a reason the "wishbone", "student body right / left", and "the Wildcat" is used in college by 20 year old underwater basket-weaving majors - because that shit doesn't work against real men in the NFL.

Yes, you can run 1-2 plays a game using this formation - but when this nonsense IS your #1 weapon, it's just a matter of time before it's exposed. And please, no shotgun, K-Gun, "run and shoot", or "west-coast offense" comparisons, OK?

You are such an idiot considering that they used it for 6 plays this game.  And the wildcat offense had yet to account for more than 20% of the dolphins total offense in any game.

Jtex, you are possibly the biggest moron in the history of this board.  Yeah, the wildcat didn't work today.

Um, we scored a TD with it for three consecutive games. 

3 to 1 ratio is a GREAT ratio.

Jtex has a point in that we should have realized early (probably before the game) that it was not going to work against the Ravens D.

The Wildcat works best against a slow defense that relies on player experience to make up for a lack of physical skills.

The Ravens have arguably the best run-stopping defense in the league. They have allowed the least rushing yards per game. They've stuffed opponents more often than any other team except Chicago. They've allowed fewer "short" conversions than any other team except Chicago and Washington.

Their biggest weakness has been runs at left defensive end (offense's right tackle), where they're "just" 10th in the league, but with no other weaknesses, they would always be able to contain the Wildcat, especially considering the penetration they usually get (and got against us).

I never thought we stood a chance against Baltimore. They had (and have) one of the best defenses in the league - probably THE best, although a few other teams are looking pretty good as well (Tennessee, Tampa and Pittsburgh. Defensively, I think the Giants are a mirage). I did think our D would keep it close, but with our O against Baltimore... well, let's just say a 10-3 loss wouldn't have surprised me).

The Wildcat didn't fail.

We failed at running, in any formation.  We didn't fare any better with Brown in a traditional formation either.  The Ravens were able to collapse on our line. 

The wildcat had nothing to do with that.

I think we should have run Ricky more than 4 times but that's just me. 

 NT/DL- Paul Soliai....he was suspended for this game against Baltimore for violating team rules...Jason Ferguson went down early in the game with an injury (which really hurt against the run), and Soliai was not there to fill in for Ferguson....Randy Starks had to move to NT for MOST of the game....this allowed Baltimore to run the ball very well against Miami's defense all day keeping the Dolphins offense on the sidelines.

Although this was Pennington's only major letdown thus far, he deserves a little more smack down than he is getting.

He was horrible in the 1st half.  He had wide open guys being missed left and right with minimal pressure.  The pick-6 was an obvious game changer but I am more concerned about missing the wide open players.  He absolutely looked like total suck for 90% of his play.  His receivers really bailed him out a few times by holding on to some tough balls that should have been jarred loose.

I just want to know why he played so much worse.  Yes, Baltimore has a good defense but honestly it didn't look to be such an issue.

Pennington is the primary single player that was responsible for the loss and deserves SOTG this time around pretty solidly.  I hope he bounces back or it won't take long for people to start going crazy for Henne to be put in.  Tommy is already crazy, so he doesn't count.

Pennington is 9th in DYAR.  Putting in Henne for him would be retarded.  So would blaming this loss on him when he has a running back carry 12 times for 14 yards.
