BY JEFF DARLINGTON jdarlington@MiamiHerald.com Just when Dolphins cornerback Michael Lehan seemed to have truly begun to heal from a badly sprained ankle in early June, a hamstring injury during Thursday's practice set him back once again. This time, Lehan's injury has landed him on injured reserve, the team announced Friday. As a result of Lehan's departure, Miami resigned cornerback Joey Thomas to replace Lehan on the 53-man roster. Jason Allen, who recently made a transition from safety to cornerback, is likely to see time as the nickel corner Sunday against the Bills. There was some good injury news as well. Nose tackle Jason Ferguson, who injured his oblique Sunday against the Ravens, returned to practice Friday. It appears he could even now play against the Bills, which would be a huge boost for the Dolphins' interior run defense. LONDON FINED $5,000 Dolphins wide receiver Brandon London was hit with a $5,000 fine for a questionable hit on Ravens tight end Ethan Jones during one of Miami's kickoffs in last Sunday's game. London was not penalized at the time, but coach John Harbaugh said Monday he planned to send the play to the league for review.
