Title: Game Balls- Broncos
Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on November 02, 2008, 07:51:31 pm
Game Ball goes to Jason Allen.  Had a key pick on Denver's first drive and helped shut down Brandon Marshall today.

Honorable Mention to Will Allen for that pick six, and Andre Goodman for driving Brandon Marshall crazy.  Also to Chad Pennington for showing his coolness under pressure and answering that last Denver TD with authority.

Andre Goodman..........that guy was like Fucking Glue.

Camarillo had a 100+ yard game.

There are many deserving people this week.

I think I have to give it to Will Allen.  He played really well in coverage today and kept their start receiver down.

Got to give the Game ballz to the Miami defense.

This is the fifth time in the last six Miami has played Denver, and someone on Miami's defense has returned a touchdown!

The entire secondary
Not Yeremiah Bell.  He's usually the most solid player back there but not today.

he made some plays, and had a VERY nice pass breakup.....he would've knocked that guy into next week if he had actually caught the ball

what about sparano?

this team may not have all the talent in the world, but they are consistently getting better and better. secondary SUCKED at the start of the year, and they have improved significantly as a unit. remember the receivers the first few games, good grief. now the patterns are sharp, timing is good, and you see separation. sparano is really getting the most out of this team and they are much better than they were in the first few games.

For as much crap as I personally give the secondary (specifically Goodman) every week, I gotta hand over a game ball to the entire secondary today.  Specifically the corners.

Will Allen, Jason Allen, and Andre Goodman.

You shut down Brandon Marshall for nearly the entire game, and you get the game ball.  Nice job today guys, keep it up!

Goodman continues to impress me with his coverage skills - especially across the middle. He still looks bad on double moves, but I haven't seen many against him the past few weeks. Open field tackling is still his biggest weakness, though. If a receiver gets the ball and Goodman isn't right there, all it takes is the smallest misdirection by the receiver and Goodman is gone.

Give it to Camarillo, with 11 catches, many of them in clutch time. Despite last year's heroics, it was questionable whether or not he'd make the team this year given all the receivers brought into training camp. Of course, not only did he make the team, he's turned into the best WR on the team, with a knack for getting open, making the tough catch over the middle,  and glue like hands.

For his career day of 11 catches, he gets my game ball.

The good doctor has persuaded me. Camarillo was awesome. Pennington really hung him out to dry on MOST of those 11 catches. Here's the ball, soft and up high... BOOOM.

Camarillo did a great job holding on to those and he really is an extremely tough receiver... Not speedy, but exactly what's needed with Pennington's arm.

Another vote for the secondary.  It's a good day when a guy I'd forgotten was even on the roster (Culver) gets a pick, too.

I did see that.  Not surprising though, he did that kind of stuff all the time at Hawaii.  The kid has an excellent pair of hands.  Anyways, my Game Ball goes to CB Will Allen.  Probably the best game he's played all season.  Honorable Mention to K Dan Carpenter.  4/4 on FG's, the kid was MONEY.
