Title: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: dolphins4life on November 16, 2008, 01:19:31 pm Ted Ginn Jr. takes it 40 yards to the house and we are up 7-0!!!!!!!
I guess Ginn really was worth that number 9 pick Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: dolphins4life on November 16, 2008, 01:22:46 pm Let's see if we can finish this off and not let it get too exciting
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: dolphins4life on November 16, 2008, 01:27:53 pm Come on I need a Pennington TD to Ginn,
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: stinkfish on November 16, 2008, 01:31:57 pm Is anyone seeing this game online?
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: fyo on November 16, 2008, 02:00:36 pm We could really use a dominating, crushing victory... even if it's against a weak opponent.
That said, I'll take a slim win any day. Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: SCFinfan on November 16, 2008, 02:26:09 pm I hate that we aren't crushing them, but I kinda figured it would happen.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: raptorsfan29 on November 16, 2008, 02:27:05 pm did anyone see the pass interference call that led to Oakland's 3 points. I'm listening to it on radio and the announcers were saying how it was a terrible call.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: hordman on November 16, 2008, 02:44:24 pm I hope everyone took OAK +10.5, Phins ALWAYS play down to the comeptition.
book it dan-o!!!!!! Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: fyo on November 16, 2008, 02:58:10 pm Yeah, Tepop, that Ronnie Brown guy sucks ;)
Two big mistakes on offense have marred an otherwise great game so far. Pennington's sack in the end zone and Ronnie's fumble (Ricky, Ronnie and Ginn have way too many fumbles combines thus far). Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: fyo on November 16, 2008, 03:15:59 pm Why the F*CK are we punting inside Oakland's 35?
Don't want to kick a 52-yarder? Fine, go for it. It's 4th and 4. Statistically, this is just a bad, bad call. Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: fyo on November 16, 2008, 03:19:09 pm Weird stat: Through more than 3 quarters, Camarillo and Fasano have a combine 0 catches. In fact, they haven't even been the target of an incomplete pass.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: dolphins4life on November 16, 2008, 03:28:25 pm Well fyo, Camarillo just landed a big one.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: raptorsfan29 on November 16, 2008, 03:32:01 pm Our special team reached a new low. i didn't think it could get much worse than before.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: Bubba on November 16, 2008, 03:33:00 pm Uggg, we need special teams so bad! :|
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: dolphins4life on November 16, 2008, 03:33:23 pm Well, now it's in the hands of Pennington
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: fyo on November 16, 2008, 03:34:26 pm I blame Sparano right now. Being a f'n coward and not going for it or attempting the figgie on 4th and 4 on Oakland's 34 has been the game-changer right now.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: Denver_Bronco on November 16, 2008, 03:36:34 pm Miami is back!
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: doctord56 on November 16, 2008, 03:38:06 pm two minute warning...i feel sick...can they make it on fourth and five? It never should have come down to this.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: doctord56 on November 16, 2008, 03:39:32 pm bless you ted Ginn
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: dolphins4life on November 16, 2008, 03:39:51 pm OK, let's get inside the red zone
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: Denver_Bronco on November 16, 2008, 03:40:22 pm Come on. You can choke. I have faith.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: doctord56 on November 16, 2008, 03:42:11 pm it's going to come down to a fg attempt....i feel nauseated right now.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: Denver_Bronco on November 16, 2008, 03:43:12 pm Shank, shank, shank. Shades of Scott Norwood....
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: Denver_Bronco on November 16, 2008, 03:44:00 pm Can you kick an extra point? I don't see the problem.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: doctord56 on November 16, 2008, 03:45:12 pm thank you jesus. now don't allow a td on the kickoff return.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: dolphins4life on November 16, 2008, 03:45:25 pm Carpenter comes through, but this game is far from over
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: dolphins4life on November 16, 2008, 03:47:40 pm Keep the ball carriers in bounds
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: fyo on November 16, 2008, 03:48:02 pm Thank you Joey.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: doctord56 on November 16, 2008, 03:48:55 pm another ugly shiteous win, but I'll take it.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: stinkfish on November 16, 2008, 03:50:02 pm well, a win's a win, I guess.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: Denver_Bronco on November 16, 2008, 03:51:45 pm I hoped you learned your lesson about looking ahead. BY the way, Denver just beat a 6-3 team ON THE ROAD, who was previously 4-0 at home. I am going to go ahead and purchase some Super Bowl tickets ASAP.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: Spider-Dan on November 16, 2008, 03:55:18 pm My heart says "worst win EVER," but my brain says "a win is a win."
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: doctord56 on November 16, 2008, 03:58:53 pm As ugly as the wins against Seattle and Oakland were, Miami ended up with two W's.
I'd much rather win ugly than lose 15 games a season. Still, these past two games show that much work remains to be done. But who amongst us, other than the most manic and deranged fans, would have realistically expected to be 6 and 4? Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: fyo on November 16, 2008, 04:01:05 pm I would be lying if I said I were happy right now. This win just feels... well... there's some relief, I guess, but there's also a feeling of immense frustration. Right now, mine frustration is focuses on the stupid and cowardly decision to punt from Oakland's 34.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: Defense54 on November 16, 2008, 08:35:04 pm Just got back from the Game..........They took the hard way but I'll take an ugly win over a pretty Loss anyday of the week. This is a first time in a long time that the stadium was actually mostly filled with Dolfans. Pennington was not on today. That safety really pissed me off. My Seats were on that side of the endzone and I could see it happening. But we pulled out some key first downs when we needed them for the win. Thats the difference between last year and this year.........Last year we lost 6 games by 3 points, this year we are finding ways to finish the game. Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: Dave Gray on November 17, 2008, 03:11:08 am I'm torn, yet again this week.
It feels like a crappy win, yes. But it also feels like another game we would've lost last year. We're finding a way to win games at the end, even if it's in a way we don't like. Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on November 17, 2008, 09:36:47 am I'm torn, yet again this week. It feels like a crappy win, yes. But it also feels like another game we would've lost last year. We're finding a way to win games at the end, even if it's in a way we don't like. I have to agree once again. Last year's team would've found a way to lose that game, and Cam Cameron would've looked even more stupid at the press conference afterwards. Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: Defense54 on November 17, 2008, 10:14:49 am Refs were really Bad yesterday . I saw Pennington with my own 2 eyes motioning for a timout with 9 seconds on the clock before Ole Ed gave it to him with only 2 and later apoligized. The Pass interference call that gave them 40 yds was also putrid. That Mofo really needs to go. He is either a REALLY REALLY bad Ref or the NFL is telling him to give bad teams a fighting chance when he can.
Title: Re: Live Blog: Miami vs. Oakland Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on November 17, 2008, 09:19:35 pm You have to credit Pasqualoni, Sparano and Parcells for whipping this run defense into shape.
Last season the Dolphins gave up 299 rushing yards to the Raiders. Yesterday, they yielded only 70. |
