Title: Shame of the Game- Rams
Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on November 30, 2008, 04:09:19 pm
Shame of the Game goes to David Martin for that catch and fumble that led to a Rams field goal that put them within one point.

Honorable mention to TonyB0D for being ever the pessimist.  Here's a quote from him on that final Rams drive:

haha we're going to lose this game

David Martin as well.

I agree with Martin, but mostly because it was a momentum killer.  We were doing well at that point, and finishing up that drive could've practically put the game away.  It flatted our team.

"Flatted"   I'm gonna have to look that word up.

David Martin as well. Damn, that would have been one hell of a play had he not fumbled.

I'm still giving mine to Martin, but has anyone considered Ginn?

Our special teams were still not very special and where did our run defense go?

Who is Joey Thomas?

Why can none of the WR's catch the damn ball?

Where's Earnest Wilford?

Shame goes to Sparano, for having an undisciplined team committing costly penalties and generally looking terrible and flat against one of the league's worst.  If you want to compete in the league, you have to murder teams like the Rams.

If we play like that against the Niners, Bills, or Chiefs, we're gonna get demolished.

Ikechuku Ndukwe- RG.... his holding penalty wiped out Ricky's TD run, which made Miami settle for a FG costing the Fins 4 points....he also was penalized for a false start at a critical point of the game.

Honorable Mention- Tedd Ginn....he really has been dropping alot of balls the last couple of weeks...maybe he should stop worrying about getting hit (pussy) and catch the fucking football.

#41, whoever he is, for allowing two successive pass interference penalties.

It's hard to pick just one guy.  The whole team was really flat the whole game.

According to Sparano, Wilford doesn't dress, because he's not able to contribute on special teams.  ...that he's a fine receiver, but that they need guys who are going to be able to play X amount of plays per game, and Wilford doesn't.

Mine goes to TE David Martin as well.  Ronnie made a great play by throwing the ball to him, but Martin decided to kill the drive by putting the ball on the carpet.
