Joey Porter.  Same stats as Channing Crowder who didn't play in the game.  Joey = overpaid loudmouthed piece of shit.

The OC for that fade route on 4th and 1.

defense. 346 yards of offense from the Chiefs in the first half, unacceptable. absoultely pathetic job by the defense.

492 yards of offense by kc overall.

Did Porter even play today?

Who on defense doesn't deserve shame of the game?

The 4th and 1 fade deserves consideration.

Yeah, whoever made that play call almost cost them the game.

Speak for yourself dumbass

Yeah, I'm stupid for giving the SOTG to a player who nearly fumbled away the game

The camera crew that couldn't fathom getting a solid shot of Ricky's supposed fumble.

Well that one official had a perfect view of the play and still fucked it up.

You can't pick the defense becuase they came through when it mattered most.  Hell, they have had two bad quarters in the last 16 quarters ... that alone deserves some slack in my mind.  I think the dumbest single thing today was the fade on fourth and one.

They gave up 31 points in the first half.  Of course they can get shame of the game.

Yeh, you can pick them ... I just don't think it's justified.  This was the coldest game in Dolphins history and I guarantee you the weather was a factor. In the second half, they overcame that factor and that's brownie points to me.

I'm not giving a SOTG to anyone...phins pulled out a huge win, in one of the most hostile stadiums in the NFL in freezing conditions...great job guys.

I don't think the whole defense should get it.  They had some turnovers and did hold them scoreless in the second half.  Joey Porter should get it for his 0 tackle, 0 sack effort against a shit team.  Instead of flapping his fat gums he should contribute to the team.  He needed to step it up today especially with Crowder not playing.

SOTG goes to the Defense for surrendering 31pts to  the Chiefs !

OMG STFU

Joey Porter counts 7.4 million against the cap.  He didn't contribute a single stat to the game.  Why shouldn't he get SOTG.

SOTG goes to Spongebob Tepop. That bum could find something to bitch about in a Super Bowl win.

dishonorable mention those calling for Joey Porter as SOTG. He is one sack away from tying Jason Taylor for most Dolphin sacks in a season. Yeah, he sucks.

As for a person, I also would go for whoever called that 4th and 1 play.

Ricky didn't fumble.

Taylor had 18.5 sacks and 69 tackles.  joey porter has 17.5 sacks and 46 tackles.  Even if porter passes him, taylors season will still be a lot better.  46 tackles for a lber is terrible.

Try this one on for size.  Shame of the Game to Offensive Coordinator Dan Henning for calling that stupid ass fade on 4th and 1.  Give the ball to Ricky, Ronnie, Cobbs, Polite, SOMEBODY!!!!  I mean, you get the first down and put six on the board, it's a totally different ball game.  Instead, you let the momentum swing all the way back to the Chiefs who, not surprisingly, marched down the field.

Honorable Mention to that fucking official who called Ricky's play a fumble.  I mean, if you're not gonna call it on Polite for the same thing in the first quarter, then don't call it on Ricky either, you miserable fuck.

I'm not giving it to anyone on defense.  They adjusted well in the second half and only allowed 3 points.

I have no problem with a fade to a 6'8" tight end going against a corner.  Call me crazy.  Given the wind conditions, maybe plowing Lou Polite would have been a better way to go, but seriously, I'm thinking a 6'8" guy has to make that play.

DLine gets it for getting pushed around for a half.

I'm sorry.... that play call was shitty to begin with.  Maybe on first or second and goal, but not 4th and 1 with a chance to take a commanding lead in the game if you make it.  Get the first down, then try it.

6'8" against 6'0".  8 inch advantage before considering the difference in arm lengths (another 2 inches?).  In swirling wind, i'd prefer Lou Polite or Ronnie Brown, but I really don't mind the call.  Big man should have come up with it.

Henning has been a awesome play-caller this year and that 4th and 1 is the only slip up I can recall. I wouldn't be throwing him under the bus just yet.

And that's the whole point.  In the swirling wind, it looked like the ball fluttered off course.  I would've given Polite the ball.  He would've gotten that first down.  You're talking a 14 point swing basically if they get that first down.

We won the game

We won an offensive shootout against a shitty team.... something we're not used to and a better than average team (New England) would've picked it up and rammed it down our throats.

We won an offensive shootout against a team that has given alot of good teams this year a run for their money. We won that game in the coldest temps this franchise has ever seen...in December no less. This gives our guys a feeling of what to expect next week...a shootout in freaky cold temps.

1.  The Jets offense is nowhere near as explosive as the Chiefs.

2. I'd rather be playing in New York in December than KC.  Believe it or not, it might be 20 to 30 degrees warmer in New York.  The ocean currents make a big difference.

First off, that was not a fumble by Ricky Williams.  Stevie Wonder could've seen that it was CLEARLY not a fumble.  Anyways, my Shame of the Game goes to LB Joey Porter.  He was a non factor all day.

^^ Agreed 619.... In the biggest game of the season so far, Joey Porter did absolutely NOTHING to help the PHINS win.  Porter is this weeks SOTG.

Ricky Williams DID NOT fumble!

A few things -

Ricky's "fumble" probably wasn't a fumble but, rightfully so, they let the play go on, figuring they can settle it in the booth (since its inside 2 minutes).  Ite better to do that than to blow the whistle and make it an unreviewable play a la Ed Hochuli Week 1.

Secondly, Joey Porter was invisible, and wasn't getting doubled too often.  Part of it can be attributed to a great left-side of the Chiefs' line, and part to a fairly mobile QB in Tyler Thigpen.

Thirdly, the fade route was only a bad call because it didn't work.  If they gave the ball to Polite on the inside hand-off against a 10-man front, you'd be screaming about having a too-obvious play call.  It was probably a good call, although I would have rather seen it be a slant rather than a fade.

My shame goes to the CBS camera man on the far side of the field.  His job is to obtain the reverse angle picture and, had he been in position during the Ricky Williams "fumble," the call would have been reversed.  He fell asleep on the job and cost the Dolphins possession.

Randy Cross...for making my ears Bleed....AWFUL

I thought there were some strange calls...the "fumble on the Catch Ronnie Brown had early in the game, that didn't happen because of a Penalty (hitting Chad Pennington Low). The Bradley Catch on the sideline, that was a Catch? That was some VERY VERY Liberal interpretation of Possession IMO...Then the Ricky Fumble at the end of the game....

I wasn't happy with the idea of Ricky carrying the ball late,he does have tendancyto fumble

Agreed.  Randy Cross is on my "Top 5 People to Punch in the Face" list.

I think Porter moved around a little, and if he didn't he should have.  I like to pick on our DBs but our LB core is hurting without Crowder.  Porter is the mouthpiece and since the whole D didn't show and he did zilch, he gets SOTG.  A little pressure would help the DBs and this was a great time for him to step up in Crowder's absence--possibly even show he's more than a pass rusher.  Comparing and contrasting Porter and Taylor is pointless since we're talking about this particular game.

Watching the game, I would have taken the field goal instead of the fade.  At the time I was pissed, but Brian makes a good point about things being good when they work and vice versa.

I watched part of the NFL replay...And I don't think we were exactly "Attacking" the QB...I feel like we wanted to keep Thigpin contained...and not let him run....Make him feel the pressure,to throw the ball early, but not enough to get him to run...where we had no one to go tackle him....I think Joey Porter, and Roth were, told to Contain....Not to try to press too far up field...Just My Two cents....

I was watching it too, and if they were told to contain Thigpen, they should have listened.

Joey Porter.  No sacks, his name wasn't called the whole game except when Randy the Retard Cross was pointing out that they hadn't called his name the whole game.
