The Dolphins had a similar lead in 2002 and blew it, but Uncle Wayne kept Wanny on. If I were the owner, I would've done the same thing Pat Bowlen did. Post by: Dolphin-UK on January 12, 2009, 01:37:05 pm Hmmm, I don't necessarially buy the idea that a team who needs defensive help hires a defensive minded HC. Seeing as they have a potent offense I can see the logic in hiring the guy who has mastermined a potent high powered offense (and developed a rookie QB) and get a dedicated def coord in to mastermind the develoment of a new scheme starting from almost scratch.
