Prior to this (up until 2 weeks ago), it was a photo I took from the National Mall in Washington DC as it had been since 2005.
I like it to be something scenic, but it must be a picture I took. I never download wallpapers from the web. Title: Re: What's your PC background? It's usually things I've made,A lot of my sports ones I change with the season....The Av's are in the middle of Hockey season....So I should have an Av's WP,but I'm not going to get into that....I've been working on my latest one for about...errr I'd say a month....I probably have another 2 weeks or so to go on it...My old one I had the for awhile was the wall behind my computer,kind of giving there is a frame with an empty space.......(I didn't make a Dolphins one last year) Title: Re: What's your PC background? However, back in 2005 I made a wallpaper myself that was just a collage of cover art from various Criterion Collection DVDs that I own. I figured I would get tired of it soon, but I've had the same wallpaper and variations of it on all of my computers for going on 5 years and have not gotten tired of them. Here they are on the desktops in my bedroom (I also have one like this on my HTPC in the living room). A lot of clutter is hard for me and I can't really see the icons that well. I often go with a straight light blue color. But, there are some generic XP ones that are kinda like a gradient that I'll use.
My most common one is one that I made of my company logo. Really simple and clean...plain almost. Title: Re: What's your PC background? Sorry, haven't had one of those on a PC in like 9 years (except that pesky recycle bin icon that you can't delete). talk about clutter...use the quick launch bar. I only had one chance to take it because the bird in the background was moving around a lot. Just as I was taking it, he flew away. I'm glad I invested in a camera with the fastest shutter speed (for its time).
And speaking of fast shutter speed, the 3rd picture is from the Cayman Islands while I was driving 40 mph on a scooter. My girlfriend shot that picture from the back seat.
