Who are the people (if any) that you've met on TDMMC and formed some kind of outside relationship with?  It can be meeting them in person, IM, chatting, etc.

Is there anyone that you'd like to meet that you haven't?

I plan on moving in next door to Lil_B at some point in the future...

I plan on meeting Maine on the mat one of these days, just for some friendly brawling...

I plan on hanging outside Tommy's house with a high powered sniper rifle one of these nights... ;)

I met Philly more than once.

It was actually a really cool experience, because I was pretty hesitant about doing it.  I like for my online life and my private life to be somewhat separate.  I avoid giving out my phone number or even answering the phone because I think it opens Pandora's box.  But sometimes, situations arise where it seems okay.  Philly had business down here, and we were already going to the game, so we offered to pick him up from his hotel and give him a ride.  We secured a ticket for him and everything.  I figured that he was taking more of a risk than we were.

Anyway, it was great.  Philly was "my kind of people" and we've since met up one other time when he came down, as well as had IM conversations.


I've also met CF, Frimp, and Tommy, and some other non-regulars at games and events and those were good times, too.  I've also chatted with these guys privately through IM.


I've formed a pretty interesting relationship with Cyan.  We've chatted for hours about games and movies, though I've never met him in person.

...and I've spent several hours on the radio with Lil B and Maine at different times.


I'd meet with any of you guys if I was in your area.   I think I'd especially get along with Spider Dan and Tony B0D, given that we have a lot of similar interests.

I would also like to meet some of my rivals, like RTW and SCFinFan, just to see how we'd deal in "real life".  I imagine that it would be pretty fun, actually.

And for some strange reason, I want to have a beer with Denver Bronco.

I have met a bunch of you although some I doubt remember. I really don't hang out with anyone from the site other than for Dolphin events.

There are several I would like to meet.

I won't count the local crew since I think I met you all before I starting coming here.

Did get to meet Philly - Brian and I went up to Orlando when he and his family were there and went to the Disney Christmas party with them. Philly, Mrs. Philly and Little Philly are all wonderful people.

I have met Philly a few times.  Once when he came down to go to the game (as Dave described), once when I was flying to Wisconsin thru Philly, and he was nice enough to meet me at the Philly airport to grab lunch.  And a third time when he and TonyB0D and I all went to Canton for Marino's induction.   That was a great trip.  (edit - oh yeah forgot about the Disney Christmas thing)  I'd say of all the people I've "met" thru this site, I have the closest relationship with Philly.

I've met CF at the games a few times, in addition to at Disney's Animal Kingdom once.  He thinks I drive like a maniac.

I've met Tommy and a bunch of people from Phinatics in Tampa.

I've met Frimp at the Dolphins' game as well, and we talk thru PM a lot.

I know some others have met up at games before as well...

Overall, I've never really had a terrible experience meeting internet people.  I had done it before with car-club meets and they always went well.  Its always a wierd experience putting names to faces.

I'd want to get together with more people if possible.  The more the merrier!

I became very close with one member of this site, but we no longer speak.

I've met quite a few of the visiting members at tailgates...Philly, Frimp, Phishfan, CF, lots of them.


That's only because you refuse to receive Kitcki Manitou as your Pagan God...  ;)

Weren't you at the Buffalo game in 2005 eating hot wings? I thought I met you there too. At that game, I met Tommy, Dave, Brian, Stroke, CF (I think CF made an appearance) and Doug from Phinatics. That was a really good time. We even partied with the cops after the game. I've hung out with Tommy a couple times since then. I'm going to be in Brevard County in about a week and a half. I may meet up with Brian during that trip...not sure yet.

Philly mentioned grabbing a beer with me when he comes down to his job's headquarters, and I'm up for that. Hopefully, it will be during football season so we can watch a Phins game too.

Of course, there is the Atlanta Falcons game next season in which I'm putting together and hosting a huge tailgate and game outing for anyone who is interested.  ;)


I'd also like to have a beer with D_B, and one of these times, I'd like to show Jtex a thing or two about the video game Street Fighter II.  ;)

That said, I would love to come down to Florida and meet just about anyone on this site.  A couple years back Mike and I (D_B) pm'd about meeting at the baseball HOF, I don't know if he ever remembers that.

I'm always willing to meet new people.  You can't have enough friends in this life. 

You wish you were in my league, brother! Besides, we couldn't get married, wouldn't get full faith and credit in the sexually sane south.

a few years back me philly and brian went on a roadtrip to ohio for marino's HOF.  that was the BEST.  those 2 dudes are super cool....i've actually hung out with philly quite a few times...i've gone to a philly/fins game down there, been to his house for a game, and he's come up here for a fins/jets game. good times.

i met stroke at the HOF trip, and although we only spent a few minutes chilling, he was awesome too. 

this fall i'm planning on making a trip to disney so i'll be sure to finally swing down to miami and catch a game with you fellas.

and Maine, within the next few months, we're either going to a lowell devils game or when it gets warmer we'll meet up somewhere halfway (like boston), and go cruisin on the steel ponies.

I've hung out with Frimp a few times since we first met at the Buffalo game back in 2005.  I've also hung out with Doctor D and Phishfan several times.  Doctor D and I also have gone to a road Dolphins game together.    CF I hung out with a couple times, once with Phish for a Jets game, and once during the offseason when Stl was in town.  Defense once was in town for some police training, and I grabbed Doctor D and Phish and we watched a game together.   

Everyone else on my list I have met at Dolphin games.

Maybe you met me at the HOF.
I'm planning on coming down for a game this Fall. Maybe I'll get a chance to meet some you guys then, and we can cry on each others shoulders.

I have actually never met anyone on the site personally being as I live about 3000 miles away from a majority of the members I have typed with during my 4 1/2 years on this site. I have talked numerous times on the phone with Stroke and we text every so often. I would like to opportunity one day to meet the man in person. I would welcome the opportunity to meet any of the folks on here if the option ever presented itself. Some of the people off the top of my head that I would like to meet in person just based on conversations and general personalities that I think I would get along with include, Lil B. Brian, Dave, Philly, Maine, Denver, JTex, and CF Dolfan. However if anybody is ever out my way feel free to drop me a line. I am always up for going out for a coldie or ten!!!!!  ;D

I've met Dave, Fau, Brian, CF, Tony, Sunstroke, Sportschick, Finfan54 (I think that was Jerry's name, he's not on the boards much anymore), and Buddhagirl. I think thats everyone.

Whenever I've been in Florida on business or vacation, I've tried to get togetehr with people. Sometimes its just been grabbing lunch at the local mall (CF), other times it been hanging out at Disney.

I have to head up to Maine soon, so should get the chance to meet Maine, and I am in NYC all the time, and need to find time to grab coffee or lunch with Janet.

As Frimp said, I'm going to try to hook up with him when I'm in Dalton, and we have a new member who happens to live in Dalton, so hopefully I can meet him as well.

I'm probably closest with Brian and Tony, since I've hung out with them more than anyone, and shared a hotel room with them (DUMPTRUCK!) and watched Tony try to pick up the girl with the big booty!

Anytime Philly, as long as the Trannys haven't roughed me up! :)

As far as people I didn't already know from this site, I've met CF, Doctor D, Tommy and Phishfan, if I left anyone out, I apologize my memory sucks!

I'd be up to meeting anyone from the boards, especially if it involved a Dolphins game!

Yes actually. The founders of another Dolphins site, The 2 Michelles, actually live here in the city and I met up with them and a crew of fellow Dolphins fans and we met at a bar called Third and Long on 35th and 3rd. It's a fun bunch. Sadly one of the Michelles just moved back to SC :( And I never made it to the Fat Cat this weekend, plans got all screwed up. Soon though I hope! :)

I've never met anyone from here.  Come to think of it, I've never met anyone in person that I first got to know over the internet.

There are some though that might lead to a pleasant experience.

Spider Dan - For the sick conversations (sick as in awesome, term has grown on me.)
Thundergod - Always fun hanging with people with similar likes.
JVIdes - Is it even possible to disagree with him?
Sunstroke - I've always known someone with a similar sense of humor and worldview.  Always got along great with them.  I don't smoke but if we hung out there would definetely be a large contribution to global warming.  Best sense of humor on this site. 
SC - I admire people with strong convictions that are able to defend them with logic and intelligence.
Tommy - For some reason I think he'd be the first one to have someone's back.  There are times where I feel like manning Stroke's sniper rifle while he takes a break though ;D
cyan - So we can go to a Swedish death-metal show and he can hook me up with his ex.
Frimp - So he can teach me how to melt faces with a guitar.
Maine - I would like to fight him.  Not due to any animosity or anything but because he has all that training and if I'm not mistaken, continues to train.  I could learn some. 

Last but certainly not least!!!

Runz - Who wouldn't want to meet their complete opposite?  liberal vs. conservative, young vs. old, handsome vs.........conservative?.  ;D  Despite some petty name calling sessions, I think we'd get along pretty damn good.  In our prime, our little run ins reminded me of debates I had with a very good friend who is no longer with us......................becau se he moved to Florida.   ;D I'm a scum bag I know.

hey Guru- I'm going to be in Vegas in a few weeks (March 22- March 25) for work. I'm not going to have a ton of free time, but want to try to get together for a beer?

Yeah dude, absolutely!  We could do something that Sunday (if it fits into your schedule) since Ms. Guru and I are off.  Kind of perfect timing since I'm going to Georgia on the 28th for two weeks.

I've spoken to Tommy a couple of times on the phone, but am always busy when he's in town.  I PMd with 'Stroke a few times regarding doing some NBA power ranking threads, but never followed through because of work.  I'm buddies with TGod, but that dates back 15 years.

Other than that, I'd like to meet several of you, if ever I had a chance.

BeefStewart, RTW, Guru, Maine, Sunstroke, Philly, Dave, Brian, Spider-Dan, and Hoodie for the conversations, be they about politics, religion, economics, or midgets (you know where you each fall in).  That would be a sick get together...

Love to have a beer and talk smack with Pats, Denver, and Tommy, among others.  I'd like a look at Defense's and Maine's lives (ethurst before he left, too), because their points of view are often so interesting and greatly different from my experiences.

Li'l B seems like the kind of guy you want as a friend, so I'd like to meet him, too.  Can't say we really talk about the same stuff, but I often read what he has to say anyway.

This feels like an Oscar speech...who am I forgetting?
