Title: Jay Cutler: Grow Up you baby Post by: jtex316 on March 16, 2009, 09:28:52 am This is a quick rant: Jay Cutler, you're a little bitch and you need to shut the hell up and stop whining like a baby. The NFL is a business - if the team you play for wants to talk about trading you, shut the F up and take it like every other 500+ players in the league. You haven't done shit, accomplished shit, or even won a playoff game (have you even been to the playoffs yet?). You need to shut up until you actually do something in the NFL that warrants this behavior or gives any volume of leniency towards it.
So, until you actually do something in the NFL instead of thinking you're some kind of NFL all-time great, shut your mouth and attend meetings or camp or whatever, before your ass is traded to the Lions. Title: Re: Jay Cutler: Grow Up you baby Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on March 16, 2009, 10:51:17 am He's all whiny because Mike Shanahan's gone. For once, I have to agree with Jtex's rant. Coaching (management) changes are also part of the business of the NFL.

If this happens, Detroit is instantly better. Then it wouldn't surprise me if they draft a left tackle (Jason Smith or Eugene Monroe) at #1 overall.
Title: Re: Jay Cutler: Grow Up you baby Post by: Tenshot13 on March 16, 2009, 03:30:04 pm Don't count Tampa out either...they were part of that 3-way trade that almost happened where Cutler would have ended up in Tampa.
Title: Re: Jay Cutler: Grow Up you baby Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on March 16, 2009, 03:34:57 pm Now that I've had a chance to look over the draft order, I see that this draft is so deep with offensive tackles, that Detroit can easily get a good one later in the first round.
Seeing as Denver picks 12th, if I were Detroit, I'd offer Denver the opportunity to move up to #1 overall if they sent Cutler to Detroit. That'll give Detroit the #12 and #20 picks plus a stud QB. They can still get that left tackle to protect him. Denver then gets rid of a potential locker room cancer and can either draft QB Matthew Stafford to replace Cutler, or LB Aaron Curry to shore up the defense. Title: Re: Jay Cutler: Grow Up you baby Post by: Sunstroke on March 16, 2009, 03:56:02 pm Joe is the lead character in the classic fable "The Boy Who Ranted Wolf," and I usually have a hard time wading through all the angst to reach the point he's trying to make. I think Detroit is looking at Stafford right now as the lock #1 pick, and I'm not sure that Detroit really wants to overspend to bring in someone else's QB at this point. OK.... but you've done some scouting, Stroke. If you were Detroit, wouldn't you rather trade down to #12 and get a proven QB in the process (which costs WAY less than a QB drafted #1 overall). And then you're able to draft a left tackle at #12 overall money as opposed to #1 overall. WTF has Josh Mcdaniels proven in the NFL? The last two coaches who've come from the Belichick tree have both been fired, so the odds aren't exactly stacked in Mcdaniels favor. You're right the NFL is a buisness and if Cultler feels he isn't wanted or the coach has betrayed his trust he's well within his rights to demand a trade. Instead of trying to improve on of the worst defenses in the league, his first priority is to try and trade a pro bowl QB, SMART. Coaches put you in position to win games, but ultimately it comes down to the players. Culter is a potential HOF QB who has at least 10 more good years left in him. You think the denver fans are going to choose a rookie head coach over a proven commodity in Cutler, you're crazy. Cutler will be traded and prove the broncos were idiots for even dangling him out there in trade rumors, and if Mcdaniels dosen't win in 2 years his ass will be gone. Book it !!! My question is where is the owner Pat Bowlen? He should've put an end to this nonsense. Cutler's already done more in three seasons than Brister did in his entire career.
