Title: Red Sox re-acquire Alex Gonzalez Post by: SCFinfan on August 14, 2009, 06:57:30 pm http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4399324
Not quite the A-Gon I was expecting them to acquire, but that's the Sox for you. The ESPN article doesn't give a rationale for why this acquisition took place, but I think it's obvious: Jed Lowrie isn't gonna be healing anytime soon, and Theo reasonably has lost all faith in Nick Green. Title: Re: Red Sox re-acquire Alex Gonzalez Post by: Sunstroke on August 14, 2009, 07:49:02 pm Lowrie has to get his butt out on the field...he's Boston's answer at SS for sure. I have been fairly impressed with SD's young SS, Everth Cabrera, and the speed he's brought to the top of our order lately. Not quite the A-Gon I was expecting them to acquire, but that's the Sox for you. ...but it is the one that allows me to sleep better at night. ;) Title: Re: Red Sox re-acquire Alex Gonzalez Post by: Brian Fein on August 15, 2009, 01:21:29 am ♦is this former Marlin Alex Gonzalez, or former Cub Alex Gonzalez?
