Title: Red Sox re-acquire Alex Gonzalez

Not quite the A-Gon I was expecting them to acquire, but that's the Sox for you.

The ESPN article doesn't give a rationale for why this acquisition took place, but I think it's obvious: Jed Lowrie isn't gonna be healing anytime soon, and Theo reasonably has lost all faith in Nick Green.

Lowrie has to get his butt out on the field...he's Boston's answer at SS for sure.

I have been fairly impressed with SD's young SS, Everth Cabrera, and the speed he's brought to the top of our order lately.

Not quite the A-Gon I was expecting them to acquire, but that's the Sox for you.

...but it is the one that allows me to sleep better at night. ;)

He's a good fit for a third place finish!  ;D
