I'm giving my Shame of the Game to Anthony Fasano.  I know there was some bad plays all around on offense, but Fasano fumbles twice, including a key reception at the end of the 2nd quarter that was the turning point.  It would've been 7-7 and instead was 10-0 and led to the result we have today.

Fasano.

Penny was a close second though.  I can't wait until we get Henne in there.

Anthony Fasano for SURE. 2 Fumbles is not acceptable in the National Football League. + he's from Notre Dame so additional skepticism should be thrown his way.

How can it not be Fasano?  Especially at a position that doesn't get a lot of touches.

Yes.  I don't need a poll this week, however.  The choice is clear.  There is pretty much no dissent.

The whole offense.  If you want to stick Fasano on the goat trailer I have no complaints.

The offense played really bad as a whole..... but if Fasano doesn't fumble those two times, you've got a totally different ballgame.   Both fumbles came when the offense was gathering some momentum.

If Fasano had not fumbled, its possible that  Miami would have had two possible chances to score

Fasano sucked but he got hit hard.  Jake Long sucked, but he was facing one of the best DE's in the league.

Although it doesn't matter, my Shame goes to OC Dan Henning.  I'm sick of screen passes, and throwing to WR's BEHIND the line of scrimmage.  What the hell?  Are these guys check downs or are these designed plays?

If you don't open up the mid-range and deep routes, they're going to flood the line and stop you EVERY PLAY.  If you don't think this is why the offense couldn't move, I challenge you.

Sure Fasano fumbled twice, but so effin what?  Jason Elam missed 2 FG's and an XP.  If we're gonna play woulda-coulda, the Dolphins STILL would have lost the game even if they scored 2 TD's instead of fumbles.  And that's a HUGE "if"...

The offense played like shit.  The Wildcat is ineffective.  That's on the OC.  They need to game-plan better and stop relying on gimmicks and gadgets for the home run.

And - oh yeah - leave Pat White holding the clipboard from now on.  Thanks.

Thats the Gospel right there.   ;)

I feel better after a day of crying in my beer. Next week will be better.

So pennington's fumble was due to ronnie's shit blocking.  get him the fuck out of the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftRAfGhhsLg&feature=related

Fumbles aren't the same for every position.  QBs have to touch the ball on every play and are forced to hold the ball with one hand to deliver the ball.  If a blocker misses his assignment, the QB may have no way of knowing and there's no realistic chance of them holding on to the ball.

Look at Tepop's video.  The Pennington fumble is really all Robbie Brown's doing.

Fasano's fumbles are unacceptable, especially considering he fumbled every time he touched the ball.

The first fumble by Fasano, he got popped really hard.  To me, its understandable to let go of the ball when you get hit that badly...

And besides, Tepop has a man-crush on Ronnie and is just trying to prove a point.

I'll agree, that was a shit block by Ronnie, but Penny had almost a full 4 seconds to throw that ball.  He should have gotten rid of it before then.
