Title: Ronnie Brown Injury
Post by: Tepop84 on November 16, 2009, 06:21:13 pm
How long will he be out?  Is anybody surprised that DQ ronnie is injured again?  The guy oozes talent, but can't stay healthy.  He is a bust.

I'll respond to the non-special-ed portion of the post:

He'll be out Thursday, have 10 days to heal, and will be back a week from Sunday.  On a lighter note, good thing he's only hurt and, you know, not suspended for, oh, I don't know, chronic drug use.  PHEW!

It is a somewhat valid observation. I'm very hesitant in labeling someone "injury prone", but prior to this year, Ronnie Brown has missed more than 3 games a year on average over 4 years. 20% of the time, he out with injuries...

No, it's not "bust-worthy", but the team does need to make sure it has a very solid backup. Ronnie Brown is, injuries and all, still a top-10 running back in this league.

The latest is that the ankle is a minor problem. The worrying part is that there's an injury to the foot. Details unknown at this point.

I`m new to this forum so forgive me,
but is Tepop a Dolphins fan?  It seems to me
that every post is a negative post against the Dolphin players.
Don't get me wrong i understand playing devils advocate but at some point
you must have a kind word to say about the team you root for.
What should the Dolphins do cut Henne and just hand off to Williams the whole game?
Is Brown a hall of fame back...no but he is a really good back who runs the wildcat offense
flawlessly he has good hands, he has fumbled 1 time all season and only 10 times in 5 years.
How do you say he is a bust? If the Dolphins cut him how long would he be out of work?
It is disheartening to read negative post about my team but even more so from a supposed fan.

He claims to be, but lately he's been flaming Henne at every turn.  He used to do it to Brown, but it had died down.

I feel ya, though.  Much of his criticism is baseless.

Pure conjecture, USO.  I don't know how long he'll be.  I heard today that he's confirmed as out for Thursday.

As a semi-Phins fan, I hope Ronnie will be OK and get back out there soon.

As a fantasy junkie who didn't draft Ronnie anywhere, but threw late round picks at Ricky in a number of drafts, I hope El Sticky rises up from his lotus position and goes ballistic in the boxscore in Ronniecat's absence.

I'll respond to the non-special-ed portion of the post:

The subtle rip is often the most effective rip.  Bravo!!  ;D
