Title: Game Ball - 2009 Post by: Spider-Dan on January 04, 2010, 07:36:15 pm Since there's a Shame of the Year thread, I think there should also be a Game Ball of the Year thread.
Some tough choices... - Ronnie was solid while we had him; he's clearly the catalyst to this offense - Camarillo was a solid possession receiver and just Made Plays - Carpenter missed 3 FGs on the year, and has been quite clutch. But I'm giving my game ball to Vontae Davis. He made some MONSTER plays (the pick of Brady in the end zone was huge) and is the best late-first-rounder we've had in years. Honorable Mention to Chad Henne -- He hasn't always been great (or even good), but he's showed marked improvement and is the first time I've been excited for a developing QB in our system since Marino. While I probably still would have given it to Davis, Long definitely deserves honorable mention. However, I do want to give props to the player who has surprised me the most: Brian Hartline. For a fourth rounder, he's doing some really fine work out there.
