Title: My Mock Draft Post by: Tenshot13 on January 12, 2010, 03:08:17 am I did a mock draft on another website. The months leading up to the draft are my favorites. I'll welcome any constructive criticism. Trust me, this mock will change a shit-ton before the actual draft.

A lot of scouts are saying he's lazy and tends to take plays off.

Title: Re: My Mock Draft Post by: Dave Gray on January 12, 2010, 05:20:02 pm That's pretty impressive, though I don't know much about college football. Is it all from scratch or do they have some kind of ranking system to help you not forget anyone?
Title: Re: My Mock Draft Post by: Sunstroke on January 12, 2010, 05:47:56 pm The only real surprises there are the two guys you have mocked to my Niners. I'm definitely hoping that neither get picked by SF. ;) Title: Re: My Mock Draft Post by: Tenshot13 on January 12, 2010, 05:53:21 pm That's pretty impressive, though I don't know much about college football. Is it all from scratch or do they have some kind of ranking system to help you not forget anyone? They have a ranking system, but it's pretty outdated (I think I saw Michael Crabtree on there). I went to a lot of different sites, did a lot of research, researched specific teams needs, ect. The site is simple to use...just press add, click on a player using various drop-down menus, click edit to type stuff about the pick. What do you guys think about picking Dez Bryant for the Falcons? I thought it would be a great pick for them, but some Atlanta fan commented that they are "stacked" at WR and that would be a waste of a pick. Last time I checked, Roddy White and Tony Gonzo where the only playmaking receivers. Title: Re: My Mock Draft Post by: Sunstroke on January 12, 2010, 07:01:24 pm I want the guy you mocked real early (Joe Haden #7) to slide to #13, truth be told. If not Haden, OT Anthony Davis would make me smile, as would the guy Walter's mocking to us now in CJ Spiller. Haden has been mocked in the 11-13 area until this past mock, so I don't think I am being too unreasonable there. ;D Title: Re: My Mock Draft Post by: Philly Fin Fan on January 12, 2010, 07:12:41 pm Shocked not to see Navorro Bowman anywhere on that draft. And to see Royster get picked ahead of several of his PSU teammates (Bowman, Lee, and Odrick) really surprised me. Especially picked by KC. I figure they have a bad taste in their mouth from the last PSU RB they had on their team ;)

I'm doing round two, and switched some stuff up in round 1 and had the 49ers taking Anthony Davis. Actually, you are right. I think he announced it last week. Title: Re: My Mock Draft Post by: Tenshot13 on January 12, 2010, 10:03:17 pm Updated with rounds 1 and 2 complete.

I figure they have a bad taste in their mouth from the last PSU RB they had on their team ;) I only had round 1 done at the time you posted this, so what it showed in rounds 2 and 3 weren't my picks. As far a Bowman, I have the Eagles taking him toward the bottom of the 2nd round. He should be in the top of the 2nd, but he is strictly a 4-3 LB and his ability to not be versatile hurts his draft stock. At least, that's how I see it. I updated my mock today. I did rounds 1 and 2, so ignore anything in rounds 3 and 4. Any constructive criticism is welcome. http://draftdebacled.com/publisheddraft.aspx?mdid=5682 (http://draftdebacled.com/publisheddraft.aspx?mdid=5682) Title: Re: My Mock Draft Post by: Sunstroke on February 22, 2010, 05:56:03 pm My Niners got one of the top tackles in the class and one of the best edge rushers in the class, so no complaints from this fan. The only way it could be better for the way I value players is if Joe Haden would somehow slip to #13. ;D I am still a little up in the air as to which edge rusher I think will turn into the better pro...Jason Pierre-Paul or Jerry Hughes. Glad your happy. I think it's more between JPP and Brandon Graham on who is the best edge rusher. Title: Re: My Mock Draft Post by: Sunstroke on February 23, 2010, 10:03:15 am I think it's more between JPP and Brandon Graham on who is the best edge rusher. I wasn't really referring to who was the best edge rusher in the class as much as I was referring to who was the better edge rusher between Pierre-Paul and Hughes there. I actually think Derrick Morgan is the best edge rusher in the draft, but I'm almost certain that he is going to go in the top-10 and not be around for either Miami or SF. Updated my mock once again. I decided to leave round 2 out, so only play attention to round 1. All picks in all the other rounds are outdated so ignore them. This is my final mock draft before tomorrow, and I entered it into a contest. As always, any constructive criticism is welcome. http://draftdebacled.com/publisheddraft.aspx?mdid=5682 (http://draftdebacled.com/publisheddraft.aspx?mdid=5682) Title: Re: My Mock Draft Post by: bsfins on April 21, 2010, 11:16:14 pm ^^ Good Job Tenshot....You mention contest.....Is there no way to consider trades, or does it have to be a straight up draft, and what if your right about the pick, but not the team?
Title: Re: My Mock Draft Post by: Tenshot13 on April 21, 2010, 11:23:54 pm ^^ Good Job Tenshot....You mention contest.....Is there no way to consider trades, or does it have to be a straight up draft, and what if your right about the pick, but not the team? I'll just copy and paste the rules for it, and also, tie breakers are first: what pick will the first trade occur and second: how many minutes will the entire draft be... You earn: Five points for getting a pick right Four points for being off by one pick (i.e. saying Eric Berry goes 7th but he really goes 6th) Three points for being off by two picks Two points for being off by three picks One point for being off by four picks Zero points for being off by five or more picks This is for the FIRST ROUND ONLY. Whoever finishes with the most points wins. 3. Tie-breakers The following questions must be answered(the form is below): 1. On which pick will the first trade occur? 2. How long will the first round last? 4. Prize Options Checks, money orders or Paypal. I AM NOT SENDING CASH in an envelope. 5. Number of Entries You are limited to only ONE entry.
