Title: Re: Songs on your life's soundtrack! Post by: Frimp on February 11, 2010, 12:33:12 am Lil B, that's what I just did with yours. If people put their minds to it, they can come up with songs that will tell the story of their life.
Mine starts with dreams of being a rock star in a heavy metal band in my teen years, then progresses into determination to make that happen into my 20's, first marriage, and how that came crashing down, and the depression as a result that caused me to leave Florida, and enter a very self destructive life of binge drinking, and hatred of the ex. I didn't recognize myself anymore. Then, I started to calm down, and realized that I needed to get out of the past and into the present, and was challenged again, and if I was still in that self destructive phase, I might not have made it. So, I buckled down, and was determined to come back strong, and not let life get to me anymore. Finally, good things came, and as a result, I now have a good family. Yours is really good too. I really liked this idea. It was a great suggestion. I was waiting for someone else to start it, and no one did so I did. lol Title: Re: Songs on your life's soundtrack! Post by: Buddhagirl on February 11, 2010, 08:50:51 am These are interesting to peep at. I really can't think of any songs that anyone would know that pin down my life. Plus, for some reason I think in terms of whole albums. Maybe I need to do this when I have a bit more time.
Title: Re: Songs on your life's soundtrack! Post by: MaineDolFan on February 11, 2010, 08:59:04 am 2.) John Micheal Montgomery - Lifes a dance I freaking love this song. Forgot all about it. Thanks, B! Title: Re: Songs on your life's soundtrack! Post by: Dave Gray on February 11, 2010, 11:19:34 am Plus, for some reason I think in terms of whole albums. Me too. Song by song is tough. Title: Re: Songs on your life's soundtrack! Post by: Sunstroke on February 11, 2010, 11:33:15 am OK...sub-topic off of the life soundtrack theme. If you could only list ten or fewer albums/CDs to choose music for your life's soundtrack, which albums would you choose? Title: Re: Songs on your life's soundtrack! Post by: dolphins4life on February 11, 2010, 12:35:58 pm Judas by Kelly Clarkson
Hands by Jewel Solsbury Hill by Peter Gabriel Magnificent by U2 I Knew I Loved You by Savage Garden Summer Love by Justin Timberlake I'll add more later Title: Re: Songs on your life's soundtrack! Post by: Brian Fein on February 11, 2010, 06:07:16 pm I just want to clarify...
When you say "soundtrack" does that mean songs whose meaning can tell a small piece of your life story, or songs you really like? Title: Re: Songs on your life's soundtrack! Post by: BigDaddyFin on February 11, 2010, 06:44:51 pm In no particular order:
Saturday Night Special- Skynyrd Rock Around The Clock- Billy Hayley and the Comets I Walk The Line- Johnny Cash That Smell- Skynyrd (or Poison Whiskey, I reserve the right to change this if my life is ever made into a movie) I Fall To Pieces- Patsy Cline Midnight Angel- Barbara Mandrell Married (But Not To Each Other)- Barbara Mandrell Promise Land- Elvis Caught In A Trap- Elvis In The Ghetto- Elvis (probably a winner for opening theme music) Cocaine Blues- Johnny Cash We Didn't Start The Fire - Billy Joel Angry Young Man- Billy Joel My Life- Billy Joel Pressure (the long version)- Billy Joel 1985- Paul McCartney Revolution #9- John Lennon Jealous Guy- John Lennon Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting- Elton John Bye Bye Baby- Frankie Valli I Can See For Miles- The Who LA Woman- The Doors Soul Kitchen- The Doors That's all I can think of right now, probably there would be some 80's rock/power ballad tunes in there but I don't know the titles or can't think of them right now. Title: Re: Songs on your life's soundtrack! Post by: Frimp on February 11, 2010, 08:59:57 pm Brian, I took it as songs that relate to events in your life. I doubt I could do one for the albums.
