Title: Candidate for Tennessee Governor
Post by: Brian Fein on August 04, 2010, 03:09:45 pm
Basil Marceaux (dot com) is running for governor of Tennessee.  He's very popular on the interwebs because of his raving intelligence and controversial stance on the issues.

I am wondering - is this guy for real?  I want to laugh if he is, but I feel bad because I don't know if there's something wrong with him.  According to his Wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basil_Marceaux), there is speculation that he was drunk.

This video shows three of his "commercials" with translation.

So is this guy for real?  Who would vote for him?

I think he thinks he is for real, but no one else does. He hasn't made it past the primary. I could be in the same position as him if I was from Tennessee and a publicity hound.

His website (http://politics.freesitenow.com/basilmarceauxforgovernor/) advises you to click on a link for the answer to a burning question that many of us have had for years:  "Can a Democrat say the pledge of allegiance?"

(The link on the website is dead, but you can go here (http://web.archive.org/web/20080616174704/http://hometown.aol.com/fortngovernor/myhomepage/tunes.html) to solve this eternal quandry.)

Wow, that is incoherent.

I don't put anything into this guy.  He's a guy who's probably not all there upstairs.

I believe his upstairs was gutted by an electrical fire...

They played this audio on Howard Stern last week, and I was cracking up. Ashamed to say he was born in PA!
