I think that it might be Lane Kiffin.  Everyone seems to think he's an a-hole.

I nominate Darelle Revis.

Rex Ryan is an a-hole.

I think LeBron James is pretty high up there as well. I didn't fault him for leaving Cleveland, but when I saw he referred to himself in third person it solidified the dude is a douche.

LeBron is a pretty good choice.  A lot of people hate him right now.

I see players and coaches listed...let's kick things up a few notches.

Most hated person in sports = NBA Commissioner David Stern

He's a manipulative slimy unethical worm, and since I can't bring myself to hate the late George Steinbrenner any more, Stern gets promoted to the top spot.

How about Tiger Woods? 

Why hate Revis? The career of an NFL player is very short and he wants to make sure he can get a huge contract before it is over. It may not be "noble" or anything, but the stance the owners take are not much better.

Lebron James may be the most hated right now. I think people just think Tiger Woods is an idiot.

The why hate LeBron?  He went where the money is?  Revis is under contract, and refuses to play unless they give him MORE money.  LeBron was a free agent and just signed where the money was. 

LeBron was WAY less "wrong" than Revis is right now, IMO.

At least Revis didn't hold an hour long special on NFL network to announce his decision to sign.

Lebron, Favre, Revis (now that he is signed), Tiger, all have huge numbers of people who dislike them, but also have a fairly decent core of people who love them.

OTOH, Jason Taylor is despised by Mia fans AND Jet fans and nobody loves him.  His douchery on hard knocks pretty much had him viewed as a complete diva.  While the Jet fans hope he gets some sacks while Pace is out most would rather he get cut and a different Jet player stepped up. 

^^^I only know one Jets fan and I haven't spoken to him to get a feel on Taylor. Have you spoken to people and gotten this?

^^^ i occasionally read one of their message boards.  I am also a member of a bills board...I don't post at either of them as much as here but between the three i get a feel for the feelings of my afce rival fans. 

I don't hate Jason Taylor.
