Title: Clifton Smith Signed
Post by: Tenshot13 on September 09, 2010, 03:30:28 pm
This happened a few days ago, and I'm shocked no one has said anything about it.  The Guy was a probowl kick returner a couple years back.  He has the potential to take it to the house on any punt or kick off.  The downside is he's known to fumble.  Lets hope he can fix that in Miami.

It's a good signing, but I'm a little concerned about all this roster turnover.  That tells me that Sparano and company are still far from being happy with the bottom half of the roster.  I assumed that the amount of turnover that we saw in years passed was going to slow down this year.

Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, it just wasn't expected.  We are still talking about the bottom half of the roster after all and I've seen some really good teams be very thin at the bottom.  It doesn't necessarily indicate a bad team, but I think it does indicate that they can't afford to lose many starters to injury.

Your right Pappy, considering all the complaining (some of which was by me) we should have taken more note on this.

I love that we went out and signed a return specialist, its just that I don't really know much about him.  I read the reports on him, but don't see much to get excited about other than the one probowl appearance.  Unfortunately when it comes to return guys they often have just one good year.  Pair that with our crappy blocking and his injury history and I am left with nothing but prayers that he works out.

Hopefully we see him this Sunday!
