Maybe there is more than we saw on TV, but I don't see an assault.

Is their mascot still the dude who runs around in the airplane shaped go-kart?  Or is this that Fireman Fred loser?

Agreed.  That doesn't even get a dirty look from a teacher in grade school.

It's not assault, but that guy is an asshole.  You can't just go shoving people.  He's clearly using physical force because he doesn't like the guy chanting.

I thought he shoved him because the Giants fan was intentionally trying to get up in his face while Ed was teaching the braindead Jets fans how to spell their team's name.

...and that's about as far as I go in defending anyone or anything related to the Jets.

As much as I hate Fireman Ed, that guy was being a dick.  Everyone knows that's his thing, to stand on his little perch.  He was trying to be a direct dick to Ed by mocking him, and he gave Ed a little chest bump as well in there.

I think the Giants fan is being the asshole here.

Fireman Ed is an asshole.  He's a FAN.  He doesn't work for the team.  He thinks that he's somehow special.  F that guy.  You can't just go shoving opposing fans that are doing the same thing you're doing.

no one hates fireman ed more than me, but that guy was up in his grill, on his little perch, i mean what does he expect?  he was CLEARLY instigating, and fireman ed just gave him a few shoves, they weren't even that hard!

But I think Fireman Ed is getting weak in his old age.  its funny how he makes like half a J, 2/3 of an E, a whole T, and doesn't even try on the S.  Is he supposed to be acting out the letters or not?  He used to, now he's just lazy.

Ed's already said he wears the #42 jersey in honor of Paul Warfield.

He actually wears Bruce Harper's jersey. 

Yeah thanks for finding that article. It's true, Fireman Ed was once on HOWARD STERN like 10 years ago or so and Howard brought it up and was goofing on him over it. Ed wasn't laughing and was trying to brush it off as no big deal. Howard was like how can you call yourself a huge Jets fan when you used to root for their rival.

I don't have the article on hand, but Ed said he chose 42 for Paul Warfield's sake.  You can search for it if you want to, but I remember reading about it 10 years or so ago.
