Title: more interesting numbers Post by: stealth3ltt on December 19, 2010, 04:08:30 pm Dolphins are ranked last in the league for catching interceptions. They have dropped 30 catchable passes this year. More than 2 opposing drives per game could have been stopped. simply pathetic...

Title: Re: more interesting numbers Post by: Pappy13 on December 20, 2010, 10:32:37 am This is a lack of concentration, pure and simple. Players are so eager to turn an interception into a big play, they are forgetting the most important thing, simply catch the damn thing. I firmly believe the defense is pressing to get big plays because they want to help the offense, but in trying to make big plays they are actually hurting the offense and the defense because they can't catch the ball. The defense could have at least 10 more turnovers if they would just catch the ball. A good head coach would have drilled it into the players to just catch the ball and not worry about running with it. Just catch it. Go down to the ground with it if you have to, but you absolutely MUST catch the ball, FIRST AND FOREMOST. Forget about making a big play and returning the ball, just make the damn play by making the interception and getting your defense off the field.
