Title: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: raptorsfan29 on January 02, 2011, 01:31:25 pm Take your pick.
Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: tepop84 on January 02, 2011, 01:33:51 pm Chad Henne. Even though I have been saying he has sucked since last year, everybody else seemed to think he was an amazing qb who only needed a receiver to break out. He sucks. He has always sucked.
Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: StL FinFan on January 02, 2011, 01:34:21 pm I'm gonna say Sparano. Stuff rolls downhill.
Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: Dave Gray on January 02, 2011, 01:42:08 pm Henne. I cut him slack, thinking he'd improve (which was fair -- you have to let young guys progress). He is at the same level at the end of this year that he was at the end of last year.

He is at the same level at the end of this year that he was at the end of last year. His any/a last year was 4.84. his any/a after bringing marshall in this year was 4.92. He is not very good. Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: dolfan13 on January 02, 2011, 04:00:24 pm henne.... hm to ireland. players on the field win or lose games, and the players he has assembled for this team are below average.
Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: badger6 on January 02, 2011, 04:13:17 pm Henne without a doubt. If nothing else he is consistent with is suck job play. One thing that I'll give Thigpen, even if he isn't a great starting QB. He ain't chickenshit to throw the ball down field and he looks looks somewhat comfortable in the pocket. Too bad he didn't get anymore time in this year. Things may or may not have been different. But at least I got to see him play today. I hope he is back over Henne next year, at least as backup......
Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: TonyB0D on January 02, 2011, 05:31:13 pm how it can be anyone but Parcells is beyond me.
you say shit rolls down hill, well he's the man at the top. he took the money and ran, and clearly didn't have any interest in the success of the football team. we thought he was our franchise's savior, but he's just another jerk Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: dolphins4life on January 02, 2011, 05:48:11 pm Henne
Henning Sparano Carpenter Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: Tenshot13 on January 02, 2011, 05:49:01 pm Henning for sure.
Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: Stinger24 on January 02, 2011, 06:54:08 pm The Dolphins
Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: Frimp on January 02, 2011, 07:00:21 pm Henning.
HM to Henne. Hopefully the hens will be plucked from the Dolphins to make way for some wolves. Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: dolphins4life on January 02, 2011, 07:52:30 pm Henning. HM to Henne. Hopefully the hens will be plucked from the Dolphins to make way for some wolves. I think appointing Hoodie as a mod has resulted in a pun infection. Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: Thundergod on January 02, 2011, 08:08:38 pm Management: Parcells (thanks for nothing)
Coaching: Henning, Sparano Player: Henne (I wanted to give him a year before forming an opinion. That's all I needed) Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: bsfins on January 02, 2011, 10:42:50 pm Tony, and Thunder...errr stole my thunder....(no pun intended)
I'm gonna say Bill Parcells..For this reasoning.... I feel like he had more say than we think, for him it's about buying the groceries, without the fear of blame.....I feel he brought in most of these guy's,on the staff, and probably lobbied for quite a few people on our roster.... (Slight off topic) One of the Florida papers earlier this mentioned Henne was more of a Parcells want, Pennington by the coaching staff...but who wanted Pat White? I think there was much more division in management, then we'll ever know...(We'll hear stuff probably year or so down the road) So were the coaches, coaching guy's they didn't want? Honorable Mention to Henning, then Sparano... I'm sort of questioning if we're better off now, then when Parcells came in....Don't get me wrong, I like Vontae Davis, Love Jake Long,Bess,Dansby (but he was a free agent signing) and I like Wake (I think perhaps Parcells name helped signing him)....Misi I see potential...Sorry Lost my Choo choo... Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: Dave Gray on January 02, 2011, 10:45:20 pm His any/a last year was 4.84. his any/a after bringing marshall in this year was 4.92. He is not very good. I agree that he's not good, but I don't give a crap about that stat. I can just watch the game and tell you that he can't hit receivers. I don't need some convoluted algorithm. Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: Dave Gray on January 02, 2011, 10:47:02 pm Good call on Parcells, by the way. He set things up, then got the hell out.
Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: Cathal on January 03, 2011, 09:22:17 am Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: Pappy13 on January 03, 2011, 11:49:54 am The entire orginization from Ross on down. Think about it. Is there anyone who completely escapes any criticism?
Ross - For making too much of attempting to make home games more entertaining. Not that I disagree with that really, but I think he now realizes put a winner on the field is what put's people's butts in the seats. Parcells - For telling us that Sparano and Ireland were ready and jumping ship. Sparano - For telling us and Ross that he had a Superbowl caliber team and taking it to 7-9. Ireland - For Pat White. There have been other misses too, but that one stands out as the worst and the fact that no one other than Long has really been a star. Nolan would be at the bottom of the list, but even he doesn't get a pass. New England showed just how easy it is to shred his defense. I don't want him fired as I think the defense has improved from last year, but it's not as good as many think it is. Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: Brian Fein on January 04, 2011, 12:12:20 am Henne regressed this season. He was better in the past. I hope he can overcome his mental and confidence issues (and apparent stupidity).
But overall, I blame Dan Henning. As a season, the entire offense sucked. All year. Running game, o-line, QB, play calling, game plan, two-minute drill, red zone. All of it - it all sucked. Every game. And, the entire time, no one made a single move to improve a single thing. For the complete ineptitude exhibited on the offensive side of the ball all season, Dan Henning is the ONLY choice for this dubious honor. I nominate him for the RoD. Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: BigDaddyFin on January 04, 2011, 12:29:44 am The whole team gets it.
Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: Dolarltexas on January 07, 2011, 02:56:47 am Sadly, there several contenders for this "honor". The ones that I think would be the are:
1) Special teams play--especially that Monday Night fiasco vs. the Patriots. 2) The offensive playcalling--the final drive against the Steelers may have had the most gutless and stupid playcalling I've ever seen. 3) Chad Henne--Why is it so hard to figure out that on 3rd and 10 or 4th and 10 you should probably try to gain at least 10 yards? 4) The secondary--They proved the adage that the reason they're on defense is that they can't catch. Title: Re: Shame of the Year - 2010 Season Post by: CF DolFan on January 07, 2011, 08:38:57 am Personally I think today is our lowest point of the season and it really had nothing to do with the players. I really hope it doesn't get any worse.
