Title: Peter King: Miami OUT of Harbaugh race Post by: MikeO on January 04, 2011, 09:31:42 pm @SI_PeterKing fins still in it for harbaugh? ... No. Not from what I hear.
Take it for what its worth. Every reporter has a different story. Title: Re: Peter King: Miami OUT of Harbaugh race Post by: MikeO on January 04, 2011, 09:35:31 pm Northern California newspaper reporting Harbaugh to SF could be announced as early as tommorow.
Word is Harbaugh wanted to go to an NFC team to avoid competiting with his brother inside the same conference. Although SF and Baltimore do play next season. Plus by taking the SF job Harbaugh can live in the same home he has now and doesn't have to move his family anywhere Title: Re: Peter King: Miami OUT of Harbaugh race Post by: tubba marxxx on January 04, 2011, 09:52:47 pm lame..BRIAN BILLICK..lol okay, a long shot..but could help this offense and had experience with Mike Nolan..just a thought

Wouldn't mind him in Miami as an offensive coordinator or o-line coach. He has taken little offensive talent in oakland and done wonders. Title: Re: Peter King: Miami OUT of Harbaugh race Post by: Dave Gray on January 04, 2011, 11:36:10 pm Harbaugh is the most enticing "new" coach for Miami, too. I'd rather have him than Cowher.
Title: Re: Peter King: Miami OUT of Harbaugh race Post by: Landshark on January 04, 2011, 11:51:15 pm This is coming out of the Sun Sentinel. The Niners are making a major play for Harbaugh, but the Dolphins are not out of it. Ultimately, it's going to be up to Harbaugh. The York family is notoriously cheap when it comes to spending money on players and coaches, so the Dolphins have the advantage there.

They can't announce today. Have they even interviewed anyone else? They have to interview minorities prior to hiring someone and I am guessing that would take at least a few days to set up and to complete having just hired a GM.Word is Harbaugh wanted to go to an NFC team to avoid competiting with his brother inside the same conference. They may have talked to a minority candidate already. They could have interviewed a minority candidate on their staff already to meet that requirment and get it out of the way early |
