I (and apparently Lil B) get a new Dolphins hat just about every year.  I wanted to make a thread to catalog the different styles of official hats.  Feel free to help out.  Try to verify that you're correct before posting.  Let's count down from now.  There may be multiple versions.

I like the top hat there, but that bottom hat, imo, is just flat out butt-ugly.

^^^^Agreed on the bottom hat. I hated seeing those ugly caps on the sidelines!!!!!

I gotta say every year, I say "wow that sideline hat is ugly"

And every year, they somehow manage to make it uglier than last year's

I kinda like those black hats they have.

They make that top hat also in TEAL. I have one in white and teal. Love it.

What are there, like 4 official hat models each year? sideline player, sideline second season, sideline coach.

Yeah, the 2008 draft cap is pretty heinous...but the rest of that batch look pretty nice.

I admit,I've found what some of the hats look like,but they're from other teams....

I have a few in my personal collection,but I'm not sure if they're official,or not, that I'm trying to confirm...I've always hated the "truckers hats" with the mesh on the back

We've got the basics covered from 2005-2010.  We need 2004 and earlier. 

I have this one hat that has this really thick rubber on the brim. I don't like it all that much, but I know it was really popular.  Does anyone know what that one was?  I can take a picture, if needed.

^This site claims that it's a training camp hat, but it matches the style of other 2004 Sideline hats from other teams.

The 2005 Sideline one was the one I've got that is uncomfortable as all hell....

They were reebok from 2001 +

Logo athletic Proline,had the "paintbrush",and "Shark tooth" Styles,Reebok recently remade those....I'm not sure which years they were originally....I've tried looking up the top draft picks to see what hat they were wearing, but it's hard to tell...

I like some of the mesh back ones that you guys don't, including the 2008 draft.  I've seen another picture of it and it's not as "electric" orange as our shot makes it look.

I really don't like the 2007 or 2010 Sideline Player.

I have the 2010 draft hat and I got it signed by Chad Henne.

I can find the Draft hat, but not for the Dolphins.  ...I can't really find any of them, actually.  Here is Carson Palmer wearing one.  I remember seeing them.

This is the hat that Carr wore on draft day in 2002.  It looks the same as the Pats, but it's hard to tell.

I couldn't find a Dolphins one online.  I looked.  I photoed my own hat and will add it later.  It is aqua with an orange bill and a little white piece of the left corner, just like here.  However, it's not the white base, which makes me wonder which mine is, and if the draft and sideline hats are similar or maybe palette swaps.  It's also possible that the Patriots source is just naming their inventory incorrectly. 

This is the year that we didn't draft a 1st or 2nd rounder (Ricky Williams trade), so we don't have a great photo op of the guy in the #1 jersey, like in most years. 

If anyone knows where to look, see if you can find a picture or video from the 2002 season, of players on the bench, to see what hat they're wearing.  Or, alternatively, find a draft pick of Seth McKinney, but since he was a 3rd rounder (day 2), I don't know if one exists.

^^^ That's my "Going down the river" hat! I've used it as my float trip hat, till I retired it last year...Being white it's high visibility,and the rubber like bill is very water resistant...So when I dump, the hat would hold it's shape...Mine's dirty as hell from going down the river....

I'm kind of at a loss with what this hat is.  Maybe that year, the Draft and Sideline hats were just color swaps...

This is Ricky wearing Lil B's version of the hat, which made me think that his was the sideline hat.  However, I also found him wearing this picture, which I KNOW to be the 2010 draft hat.

I'm curious about the "official Sideline Hat" I found a picture of Cam Cameron with an unfamiliar Hat...Then I got a Picture of Dave Wannstedt off of UPI.com all the guy's on the sideline are wearing a completely white hate with a simple Dolphins logo...Are these "Official sideline hats"?

Also check out "ricky through the years on the front page of the Dolphins section..image 4 has a sideline worker with another Hat I've never seen...from 2007...

There are also "Coach" hats, that the different assistants (and sometimes head coach) wears.  In 2002, looking over some film, I see Ricky (and others) wearing versions (some caps, some visors) of the white hat that you posted.  But the coaches are wearing a Navy colored wool hat with a raised "D" logo.

The draft hat looks the same.  Maybe the two different distinct hats came in later years.  I need to talk to someone who knows a lot about Reebok.

I think things were a bit looser 10 years ago and before and you might see a player wearing last years cap or a rookie wearing his draft hat instead of sideline hat.  Reportedly BB's cutting the sleeves off of sweatshirts and wearing ripped legal clothing was in response to the league fining him for wearing a discontinued polo shirt during the dress code crackdown transition when he had thought what he had worn to the game was currently approved apparel.

I own this hat, so I'll have to take a picture.  I can't find anything online at all.  What the hell happens to all of the pictures that people have uploaded.  They can't all be pulled down, can they?  This might also be the draft hat, since I can find pictures of players wearing it for the photo-op with the commissioner.

Not a fan of the orange as the main color. when I think Dolphins I don't think orange.

I agree.  The orange is just too much.

I miss the ones that Shula used to  wear and I'm a bigger fan of the orange for some odd reason.  Maybe it's because I like the throwback stuff so much.

LMAO!! Agree on the bottom hat. The only people who can get away with wearing a flat brimmed hat are either rappers or dorks. lol

The 1st thing I would always do when getting a hat was bend the brim. Now they make them curved. GENIUS!!!!

New Era always makes them flat but they bend easily.  Now that New Era has a contract to make NFL hats, expect to see them come flat-brimmed for the foreseeable future.
