Title: Do we want Plaxico in aqua and orange? Post by: StL FinFan on February 21, 2011, 04:30:41 pm Rumor has it he wants to be a Dolphin. I say no thanks. He'll be 34 if/when the season starts and I don't see him as a team leader.
Title: Re: Do we want Plaxico in aqua and orange? Post by: MikeO on February 21, 2011, 06:08:00 pm Nope! We need a speed WR. We have enough big physical WR's with average speed (ie Marshall, Moore, Wallace)
Doesn't fit the Fins need at WR. We need some blazing speed! Title: Re: Do we want Plaxico in aqua and orange? Post by: Brian Fein on February 22, 2011, 10:20:48 am why on earth would he want to be a Dolphin?
Title: Re: Do we want Plaxico in aqua and orange? Post by: StL FinFan on February 22, 2011, 02:04:13 pm why on earth would he want to be a Dolphin? I thought he lived in Miami. Is that bad intel? Title: Re: Do we want Plaxico in aqua and orange? Post by: Sunstroke on February 22, 2011, 02:48:32 pm why on earth would he want to be a Dolphin? Because the Dolphins are in the NFL right now, and Plaxico isn't? Title: Re: Do we want Plaxico in aqua and orange? Post by: Brian Fein on February 22, 2011, 03:27:27 pm ^^ so are 31 other teams, about 20 of whom are closer to the Lombardi trophy than the Dolphins.
Title: Re: Do we want Plaxico in aqua and orange? Post by: masterfins on February 22, 2011, 03:33:48 pm I'd take him if the price was right. He's experienced and has played in some big games. Still has a few years left in him.

I'm sorry...I thought we were talking about Plaxico here. Dude wants a paycheck right now...regardless of "SB potential." He'd be happy with most of the other 31 teams as well, I'd imagine. Title: Re: Do we want Plaxico in aqua and orange? Post by: Brian Fein on February 22, 2011, 05:01:32 pm ^^ that's my point. The OP said "he wants to come to Miami.
Why Miami, as opposed to cleveland, arizona, pittsburgh, washington, seattle, or new england? Title: Re: Do we want Plaxico in aqua and orange? Post by: Phishfan on February 22, 2011, 05:39:30 pm I'm surprised at your reaction Brian. You've been a Dolphins fan long enough to have heard many other ridiculous claims of players wanting to be in Miami.

Hardly real journalism Title: Re: Do we want Plaxico in aqua and orange? Post by: Dave Gray on February 23, 2011, 09:05:30 am If this is true, and he WANTS to play for Miami, I'd love to give him try-out. I'm not all for seeking out these old guys, but if they see something in our team or environment and they want to be a part of it, I'm inclined to give them a shot. It makes me think that you'll lose some of the diva attitude, since you weren't courted.

Why Miami, as opposed to cleveland, arizona, pittsburgh, washington, seattle, or new england? Miami has a need for a WR. A few of the ones listed doesn't. Also, no way in hell will Pittsburgh sign. Too many character issues, likewise for NE. Miami might take the chance. Title: Re: Do we want Plaxico in aqua and orange? Those are not completely unrelated. Agents drop hints that a player would like to play for teams that they have a chance of getting signed by, not teams where there is zero chance.
