Title: Fins O-line
Post by: MikeO on April 30, 2011, 06:06:47 am
Our o-line now has 3 first round picks and a possible 3rd round pick starting. NO excuses for failure anymore especially with our head coach being an o-line coach.

If Pouncy can snap to shotgun (which from all reports the 2nd half of last season this wasn't an issue for him)..........we must play him at CENTER. So, on paper it looks like it will be

Carey, Jerry, Pouncy, Garner, Long

Now Incognitio could play LG again and you could slide Garner to RG and bench Jerry.

But with the amount of money we have tied up in our o-line (highest paid LT, highest paid RT, and a high draft pick center)......NO EXCUSES for  lackluster line play. If this group fails, it MUST be Sparano's ass.  I don't think this group will fail though, I like this group alot ESPECIALLY if Garner comes back 100% and locks down one guard spot. And we let Jerry and Incognitio fight it out for another.

Repeating something doesn't make it right.

I will agree with one thing MikeO said:

No more excuses on the O-line.  Sparano is an OL coach and he has dumped a lot of money and picks into it.  This line better f'ing maul people.

Yeah, that took all of 5 seconds with the advanced search feature on the site. (user "fyo", text "highest paid").

To paraphrase something else I said in that thread, it's not my fault you have the memory capacity of a gold fish.

I guess it was too nice here for the last 48 hours. No calling mikeo any names so now that the draft is over lets get back to it  ::)

grow up

I was simply pointing out that you were repeating an error that I had already pointed out MONTHS ago. I got a serious case of déjà vu when I read your claim above. Instead of rehashing the whole thing, I simply pointed you to the original thread, hoping that would jar your memory. Instead YOU started with the ad hominem.
