Title: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Pats2006 on May 08, 2011, 09:14:39 am So did the win last night swing the momentum back in the C's way?? The way they played last night is the way I am used to seeing the C's play. I think the Celtics have a good chance in taking this to 7.. Its not going to be easy.. the celtics are banged up.. and old and this is there last chance they have to get the 18th banner.
the first 2 games that miami played Wade and James were putting up crazy numbers with the way the C's were playing soft D.. Last night Bosh was back to being Bosh.. this guy is over rated.. Everyone likes to call James, Wade, and Bosh "the big 3" but how can you say that when Bosh is one of the 3? I always question Rondo.. but after last night i seen that this guy has heart.. what he did was crazy.. this guys a beast!! Celtics need to win monday and I think they have a good chance.. Lets go Celtics!! btw.. I liked Miami till they picked up James.. I hate this guy.. but whatever happens James.. you cant take away the fact that Delonte West banged your mom!! :o :o Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Spider-Dan on May 08, 2011, 05:50:54 pm btw.. I liked Miami till they picked up James.. I hate this guy.. So you liked Miami... until they became relevant?Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Pats2006 on May 08, 2011, 06:58:57 pm So you liked Miami... until they became relevant? I liked miami before they picked up that douche bag Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Spider-Dan on May 09, 2011, 12:29:56 am Right, but isn't that like a Bulls/Hawks/Magic fan saying that they liked Boston until they got Garnett and Allen?
It's easy to like an opponent that's a pushover. Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Dave Gray on May 09, 2011, 10:19:56 am Momentum is most definitely not in the Celts favor yet. You have to win game 3 or the series is over, so that was a must win. They still have to hold serve tonight.
In terms of the way that they won, yes, they came out big in the 2nd half, but this is a game that they trailed at the half. Also, the Celtics are pretty banged up, and I think that Rondo finished out game 2 on one arm. This series comes down to 2 players, in my opinion: Bosh and Rondo. If Bosh is effective, the Heat will do well. If Rondo is able to freely distribute, the Celtics will do well. In the last game, not only did Rondo play well, but Bosh was non-existent. Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Spider-Dan on May 09, 2011, 11:48:06 am Why are we challenging someone's feelings / opinions about a team? Isn't that one of the primary purposes of this forum? The majority of content posted to this sports-related message board is a feeling or opinion about a team.Anyway, I'm not challenging his dislike of the Heat, per se; I'm challenging his rationale. Much in the same way that I've argued to Brian Fein that the primary reason he dislikes the Patriots the most is because they are good right now, I think Pats2006 would dislike the Heat a good deal less (with or without LBJ) if they were, say, 30-52. In the interests of full disclosure: New England was my second favorite football team during the Drew Bledsoe era (I rooted for them against the Packers in the SB); I own a Bledsoe jersey and, until fairly recently, I had a 1997 AFC Championship t-shirt and a 2001 SB Champion shirt. I used to take a lot of divisional pride in the AFC East having two competitive teams. I didn't really start disliking the Patriots until late 2002, which could fairly be interpreted as when NE directly smashed MIA's dreams and put the Jets in the playoffs in one stroke. Of course, I was an L.A. Rams fan until '95, so I never had the chance to build up hatred against the Bills like many of you did. I had nothing against the Heat, even when they won the championship. But I hope they never win as long as LeDouchbag is there. As soon as he leaves Miami I would not care if they win after he is gone. I felt the same way for the Giants as long as they had Bonds. They won without him and it did not upset me. Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Sunstroke on May 09, 2011, 11:18:32 pm So close to realizing the dream...of no Celtics or Lakers in the Finals. Go Heat! ...Go Thunder! Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Dave Gray on May 10, 2011, 10:42:22 am The win for the HEAT last night was enormous. They didn't benefit from calls and were still able to keep it close until they made a run down the stretch. Also, it was good to see Lebron make some key shots, and Bosh played really well, also.
Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Pats2006 on May 10, 2011, 07:52:05 pm Was a big win for Miami.... >:(
Celtics should have won that game twice.. one on rondos missed layup second when paul had the ball with 14 sec left on the clock BUT they messed the play up.. Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Pats2006 on May 11, 2011, 10:02:56 pm (http://chrisrrau.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/bosh-dinosaur.jpg)
Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Sunstroke on May 12, 2011, 08:37:44 am ^^^ Consider yourself beyond fortunate that I can't get my hands on a picture of you... Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: MikeO on May 12, 2011, 06:43:22 pm I gotta say this... I like Bosh a lot. The more I hear the guy talk, the more of a good guy he really seems to be. And IF they fall short of a ring this year, and the NBA salary cap is reduced as expected, he will be gone ASAP out of Miami because they will need to move someone to add more pieces/weapons under a smaller salary cap to build around Lebron and Wade. I hope Bosh is renting a house in Miami and didn't buy. The Heat winning it all is important for his long term future down there Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: raptorsfan29 on May 12, 2011, 09:04:41 pm I maybe a little biased but i would hope bosh comes back to toronto.
Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Spider-Dan on May 13, 2011, 11:22:35 am Not really. Taking question with someone's reasons for liking or disliking a team is going a tad bit too far. How about a player? Or a coach? Or an owner? Or a sport?Seems kind of arbitrary to start saying that certain opinions are off-limits. Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Dave Gray on May 13, 2011, 12:20:00 pm If we're on a coffee forum and someone says "I don't like cream in my coffee", I'm fine with it.
But if I'm on a coffee forum and someone says "I don't like cream in my coffee, because it makes it more bitter", then I think it's fair to challenge it. Title: Re: Celtics vs. Miami Post by: Spider-Dan on May 16, 2011, 11:45:02 am I don't like the Patriots because Tom Brady is a thug and Bill Belichick has always coasted by on the work of his coordinators. It has nothing to do with the Patriots record at all. Remember, this is an Opinion and must not be challenged.
I don't understand what the problem is here. There is an easy way to insulate one's opinion from any criticism: don't post it to an internet message board. |
