Good for Chad. I hope he likes the broadcasting I think he will be really good at it. He is a smart guy who could add a lot of insight to the average fan. Now, this notion he has of taking a year off to then see if he wants to come back is silly. 4 shoulder surgery's and now major knee surgery.....its over! Bummer about how the injuries got the best of him as a player, but thats how it goes sometimes.

He did major in communications.

And Kurt had that break in the middle of his career where he was a back-up and didn't play much. I think Chad is trying to follow that blueprint. Take off time, come back for a final run. MAJOR DIFFERENCE is Warner had an arm and could still throw it, Chad hasn't had an arm in over 10 years and can't throw it.
