Title: Odd lockout issue
Post by: SportsChick on July 20, 2011, 09:47:38 am
Myra Kraft, wife of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft passed away of Cancer either last night or this morning. Vince Wilfork just tweeted this:

"F'n lockout I don't even know how to get in touch with Mr kraft to offer my support and condolences.........."

Will players get in trouble for offering their condolences to their owner who just lost his wife?

Question: Would players get in trouble for contacting coaches?

It's the owners who have locked out the players. Team staff are prohibited by the league (i.e. the owners) to contact players... but is there a problem with players sending a message to coaches (or owners)?

It is an open secret that coaches are sending playbooks to players and the league is ignoring it.  Cracking down on condolence cards would be insane.

Though probably technically against the rules, it would be something like sodomy.  It will be completely overlooked.
