Title: AFC Landscape Changing
Post by: miamid45 on September 11, 2011, 09:06:52 pm
I know it's only WEEK 1, but already 3 PLAYOFF teams from last season could be in trouble:

*COLTS: Simply awful on both sides of the ball....Yah they're missing their top player, but the TEXANS were missing Foster.  I see this team missing the playoffs.
*CHIEFS: Manhandled at home by the Bills, definitely see them finishing below .500 this season.
*STEELERS: Turnovers and losing Harrison could spell doom for this squad.  Manhandled by the RAVENS on both sides of the ball...beaten up physically!

Get this game against the Pats tomorrow and begin the process of returning to the playoffs, boys!

I kept switching back from the Chiefs-Bills and Steelers-Ravens and spent most of that time with my jaw on my chest.

The Chiefs looked flat out terrible.  Nowhere near that team that won the division last year.  The Steelers are not only beaten down, but they're projected to be over the cap by $20 million next year, meaning they'll have to get rid of some guys.  If they don't get it done this year, it aint getting done for a long long time.

Yeah, like you said, it's only week 1. I'll wait a few more weeks to see how things are changing. But i do agree, Indy is gonna be hurtin w/o Peyton.

Could we maybe add the JETS to the list?  Defence looks average and Sanchez...well he's playing like Sanchez. (Not the leader or captain they think he is!)

Well...Sanchez is almost @ 300yds and the defence just forced a fumble at their goalline....still hope they lose though!   LOL

The Chiefs were never a good team.  I don't get all the love for them.

Wouldn't worry about Pitt too much. They are still the class of the AFC.

The other 2 teams are in trouble

They've got one of the best GM's in the business picking the players and a young coach who's career is on the rise.  It showed last season.

Just like in the last thread Brian ... I got your back. It's only one game but many people are already trying to find a way out of their predictions for them.

On a similar note ... the first week doesn't really mean anything. Many times teams first game does not reflect their seaonal performance.

Todd Haley is a joke.  Any coach that tries to bitch out opposing coaches for their gameplan needs to find a different line of work.

It was one thing when he gave McDaniels static for the blowout the Broncos handed them.  But complaining to Harbaugh because he was "running up the score" in a preseason game?  Sorry, he's a loser.

^^^^^  Pretty rare anyone accuses the Buffalo Bills of running up the score.

I don't know if he was whining again after yesterday's game.  I wouldn't be surprised, though.

^^^^  I don't know either.  But I assume at least a few KC fans are.  And Bills running up the score is a pretty rare event.  Getting run up on (bit more common)
