Maybe the veteran's minimum or something. If true, that would be pretty awesome for Boston. Hell, even if he continues to be terrible, I would pick up the option and let him rot for being such a douche.

The Sox asked about Garza, a couple other guys. They inquired about a trade of Lackey (and cash) for a low level minor league player (and Theo). Cubs were interested, pending the outcome of Lackey's elbow review. |
