Finally, some good news out of South Fla.  Glad he's not coming.  Remember, 6 winning seasons out of 16.  I know, I know, SB against STL, but his record since that trip, 2-4

So when they get someone with no coaching experience, you'll be excited?  :(

I will be. Everyone starts somewhere dude.  You don't come out of the womb with HC experience.  Look at the last 3 Super Bowl winners:  McCarthy, Payton, and Tomlin.  All first time NFL head coaches.  None of those coaches had a team handed to them like Barry Switzer or Jon Gruden did.  Just because someone hasn't done it before, doesn't mean they're guaranteed to fail. 

The most disturbing thing is that no big names want anything to do with the fins org. The fins are obviously seen as a complete joke at this point. I need a drink.

No big deal, I didn't care one way or the other about Fisher.  It's not like he would have been some magic bullet, he is just a steady pick.  What's annoying is that I think he used the Fins to get more money from St Louise.

For every McCarthy, Payton and Tomlin there are dozens of first time head coaches that fail. We've had 3 in the last couple years.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't think Fisher was a savior or anything, I just wanted someone with some head coaching experience and at least a little success. Fisher fit that description and there really isn't anyone else left that does.

Get ready for the hiring of Brian Schottenhiemer. Followed by the Jets getting either Peyton or Flynn.
Followed the Dolphins trading the farm for Sanchez.
Seriously, if the owner wants a "big name" coach & can't land one because of his support of the GM. What does that tell anyone? Normal people would let the GM go. Then there is this owner.

Bad News in that Miami offered to make Fisher the highest paid coach in all of sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL..etc) and he still said no. That says about how little respect this organization has right now and how badly its viewed.

Harbaugh and Fisher took LESS money to go elsewhere. Can't put a positive spin on that. And Miami after whiffing on Harbaugh, Cowher, Gruden, and Fisher is down to Plan E, F, G....I lost track honestly.

I give Ross all the credit for swinging for the fences, but he has failed and this franchise has no direction and there is little to be hopeful about.

Fot the most part I agree with you. But, Tomlin did. Yeah, I went there.

I figured someone would disagree with that, I agree to an extent.  It was still very much Cowher's team, or pieces if you will, but he's kept them a contender and a "favorite" for almost 5 years now.

There is an argument to be made that the Steelers organization does more to win than the head coach. They seem to always put a solid team on the field regardless of coach.

Unfortunately, me living in Central PA, I have to hear all the Stillers fans and their superiority to every other team in the NFL (we got 6, how many you got?  that schtick is getting old).  Anyhow, I will admit that I do respect the organization from the standpoint that have great upper management and personnel to evaluate talent, know when to draft this talent and when to let this talent go.  they get the most out of their players.

The Dolphins need to model their organization after them.

Now, we can do without some of their off-field disgressions (Hey Ben, how's the married life going?)

I don't think his statement had anything to do with Luck, it was about big name coaches who don't want to work here.

I'm way past the Luck thing. LOL

Fisher was worried about Rams moving to LA. HA HA....Rams are expected to announce a deal where they play "at least" 1 home game a year in London.

You sure about that. 

Reports are that this year NEP @ Rams will be the international game.  Just like Giants at Miami was in 2007.  Didn't see anything about them hosting it every year.
