Title: NCAA flunks geography.
Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on March 13, 2012, 11:43:56 am
From time to time folks complain about the NFL's sense of geography as Dallas is rarely though of as being in the "east".  And while Miami is in the "east"  the direction most people thing of is "south"

But the NFL has nothing on the NCAA.

Florida is in the west.
Vermont is in the midwest as is San Diego.

etc.

I get tired of hearing people complain about this. Teams are not assigned to a region based on their own geography.
