Title: MLB Playoff Format??? Post by: Fins4ever on September 29, 2012, 04:27:38 pm Anyone know how it works?? I would think the top seed plays the bottom seed and the top seed has home field, but that ain't what I am hearing.

Then the winner plays the top seeded team in the league. Regardless of their division setting. That means, if the Braves win the wild card game, they would play Washington in the division series. That hasn't happened before. Also, they're doing a new format for the home teams in the divisional series. Instead of the usual 2-2-1 format, they're doing a 2-3 format. The team with the higher record us starting on the road. Its supposed to be for this year only. With Selig, you never know. Title: Re: MLB Playoff Format???
