Title: The Never Ending Song Post by: Fins4ever on October 10, 2012, 08:14:29 pm This is an ongoing game that I played at another site. It is a lot of fun and can serve as a reminder of some songs we may have forgot about. Considering the diversification we have on this site, it should be a blast. Fact is, I have added to my I-Tunes library with over 200 songs in the last couple of years. Here is how we play.
1. You can use any song lyrics or title, short or long. 2. The next post must contain at least one word that is the same from the previous post. 3. Include name of band or artist at end of post. 4. Tying song to a sport or esp. Fins gets added Kudos. You keep score. lol 5. Let someone respond to your post before posting again. Here we go and in honor of our new coach I give you...... There is a new kid in town. Eagles. Joe Philbin coming to Miami. Title: Re: The Never Ending Song Post by: Landshark on October 10, 2012, 09:37:59 pm There can be miracles, if you believe. Staying home to watch the rain You are young and life is long And there is time to kill today And then the one day you find Ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run You missed the starting gun And you run and you run To catch up with the sun But it's sinking Racing around To come up behind you again The sun is the same In a relative way But you're older Shorter of breath And one day closer to death Every year is getting shorter Never seem to find the time Plans that either come to naught Or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation Is the English way The time is gone The song is over Thought I'd something more to say - Pink Floyd "Time" Title: Re: The Never Ending Song Post by: Fins4ever on October 23, 2012, 10:52:00 am Tired of lying in the sunshine Staying home to watch the rain You are young and life is long And there is time to kill today And then the one day you find Ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run You missed the starting gun And you run and you run To catch up with the sun But it's sinking Racing around To come up behind you again The sun is the same In a relative way But you're older Shorter of breath And one day closer to death Every year is getting shorter Never seem to find the time Plans that either come to naught Or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation Is the English way The time is gone The song is over Thought I'd something more to say - Pink Floyd "Time" Love that song, esp. the intro with all the clocks. Time is on my side - Rolling Stones or Eli Manning with 1 1/2 minutes to go down 6 in the 4th. Time is on my side - Rolling Stones or Eli Manning with 1 1/2 minutes to go down 6 in the 4th. The great thing about Eli Manning is that he doesn't put up flashy numbers and at times doesn't look like an elite quarterback. But give him enough time along with the pressure of mounting a game winning drive, and he will deliver. Reminds me of a certain quarterback that used to sport number 13 (although he had flashy numbers) Title: Re: The Never Ending Song Post by: Fins4ever on October 23, 2012, 07:33:05 pm My way or the Highway-
