Title: Cam Newton
Post by: Fins4ever on October 22, 2012, 06:43:12 pm
Did you see him pissing and moaning on ESPN like a 24 yr. old millionaire saying something has to change? Well, they fired the guy who drafted your sorry ass. Newt showed me a lot this week. He showed me he is a poor loser and not a team player.

He also showed me that he oversteps his boundaries in his remarks. Hey Newt. keep it professional. You have been in the league a whopping 1 .5 yrs. and by the way, the rookie class of 2012 is kicking your ass.

Ron Riveria must be livid that this 2nd yr. QB starts saying things have to change. IMO, if Newt were 6" shorter he would be serving burgers and fries.

Not sure if you want to compare these rookies to Newton's rookie year.  He kind of set a few records.

The sophomore slump is nothing new.  I'm sure he'll get over it.

I like Newton and think he is a talented QB and understand his frustration. My main point was if he went too far on his comments saying things have to change, including referring to the coaches and FO. Just think that is out of line. The records he set as a rookie are a moot point.

I don't think he's mature enough to overcome this wall he's run into.  Keep in mind that this is a guy who was kicked off the team at Florida because he purchased a stolen laptop, then let his father "sell" him to another SEC school in order to get money for renovations on his church.  He's made some very dumb decisions off the field.  Running his mouth like that is only the latest.

Not even considering his past history off the field, I would not condone his comments to the media questioning the rest of the team and coaches. The media feeds off this type of negativity and his team and bosses cannot be happy.

I would think teams have someone that guides these guys on what to say and what not to say to the media. Throwing your organization under the bus would not be included. lol

Listen to the video and share your thoughts.
