Revis has much less leverage in contract talks right now than he did a year ago and it is due to that torn ACL.  For the same reason, his trade value is much lower.   Just my opinion but I think he can be had for a second rounder.

no way in hell you get Revis for a 2nd rounder. Going rate is a first rounder plus a 2nd or maybe another first rounder.

You're right.  Generally you don't trade within your division.  But it has been done before. 

Exactly. Revis is more valuable to the jets than anywhere else. They priced themselves out of possible trade. Much like with Sanchez. The problem is, he sees himself as $16 mil material. The rest of the league doesn't. That's why I don't see a trade happening.

They aren't gonna give him away his value is 2 first rounders. They might take a 1st and a 2nd or a 1st and a 3rd but if you think you can get him for ONLY a 2nd round pick you are living in a fantasy world!!!!

Its not about what you want. Its about what you can get. Two years ago, they wouldn't give him away for less then a 1st rounder. This year when he's coming off an ACL injury and constantly upset with his contract. That's not exactly 1st rd material. Especially when the 1st rd is so much cheaper than 2 years ago. Its a younger league now.

As long as it isn't San Francisco or Miami that's dealing for him, I don't care where Revis ends up...


As determined by who, exactly? Is there a chart somewhere that says "value for corner is X, reduce value by Y for ACL surgery, adjust by a factor of Z for reputation, and add 7% because the player once had the coach's wife give him a foot massage?
