Best place for him! Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Brian Fein on March 18, 2013, 04:43:28 pm That's EXACTLY where he belongs. Take it, Timmy!
Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Sunstroke on March 18, 2013, 04:57:35 pm If his Arena League gig doesn't pan out, he still has all that third world foreskin-snipping experience to fall back on. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Dave Gray on March 18, 2013, 05:05:51 pm This is perfect for Tebow and the team he's with. Even better if there's a team somewhere in North Florida.
Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: BigDaddyFin on March 18, 2013, 11:55:35 pm If the main knock on him is that he's inaccurate, why the hell would he go to the Arena League where they throw the ball 90% of the time and almost never run?
Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MikeO on March 19, 2013, 04:48:25 am If the main knock on him is that he's inaccurate, why the hell would he go to the Arena League where they throw the ball 90% of the time and almost never run? He would go there because NO NFL team probably wants him and its his last chance to play football Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Landshark on March 19, 2013, 08:33:07 am If the main knock on him is that he's inaccurate, why the hell would he go to the Arena League where they throw the ball 90% of the time and almost never run? A lot of guys were inaccurate their first years in the NFL. After honing their skills in the Arena league, they went on to respectable careers. Take Kurt Warner and Tommy Maddox for example. Tebow would be a perfect fit for the Orlando Predators from a marketing standpoint. From what I've heard about Orlando, it is chock full of Gators fans and I'm sure they would pack the house to see him. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Fau Teixeira on March 19, 2013, 09:07:47 am From what I've heard about Orlando, it is chock full of Gators fans and I'm sure they would pack the house to see him. could be worse .. they could be a bunch of trash Seminole fans instead.. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: CF DolFan on March 19, 2013, 09:22:06 am The Gators have a huge following in Miami so why wouldn't they in Orlando where it's less than 2 hours away?
Tim Tebow and Chipper Jones are partners in D-1, a training gym about 2 miles from my house. They have both been there recently training. I guess Chipper just wants to stay in shape. Either way ... it's a really big deal when Tebow is there. Regardless of what league it is I think Tebow sells tickets in Florida. If any team could get around the circus that comes with him, it's crazy not to sign him as he literally is money in the bank. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Landshark on March 19, 2013, 09:55:32 am could be worse .. they could be a bunch of trash Seminole fans instead.. You're looking at it from a college football rivalry standpoint. Try looking at it from a business/marketing standpoint. The Gators have a huge following in Miami so why wouldn't they in Orlando where it's less than 2 hours away? Tim Tebow and Chipper Jones are partners in D-1, a training gym about 2 miles from my house. They have both been there recently training. I guess Chipper just wants to stay in shape. If any team could get around the circus that comes with him, it's crazy not to sign him as he literally is money in the bank. This is exactly what I'm talking about. If the owner of the Predators can convince Tebow to play in the Arena League, there's gonna be a cash register ringing in his head. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on March 19, 2013, 10:37:03 am This is non-news.
And little more than the owner of an Arena team trying to get free publicity. Yes, I am sure that multiple ALF teams would sign Tim Tebow, along with pretty much every single other cut NFL player. Tim Tebow will likely have three choices this year: (1) being a backup QB in the NFL somewhere; (2) be a TE/FB on an NFL team; (3) be a starting QB in the AFL. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Brian Fein on March 19, 2013, 11:43:55 am From what I've heard about Orlando... From what you've heard about Orlando? I tend to stick to coastal cities like Tampa/St. Pete Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Pappy13 on March 19, 2013, 06:18:56 pm A lot of guys were inaccurate their first years in the NFL. LOLTitle: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Sunstroke on March 19, 2013, 07:55:05 pm ...You take that back right now. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Sunstroke on March 20, 2013, 02:04:04 am Is it beneath Kurt Warner to go snip foreskins in the South Pacific? He sends his wife, who does it without instruments... Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: CF DolFan on March 20, 2013, 09:50:52 am Anyone seen his wife lately? I think she is Benjamin Button's sister. Kurt Warner's wife doesn't quite give off the old lady military vibe any longer. She has done away with the short, grey haired, I'll kick your arse look.

Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Spider-Dan on March 21, 2013, 11:45:48 am I think people vastly underestimate the impact of hair on a woman's attractiveness.
Take any hot woman and give her a flat-top and she's significantly degraded. I mean, look at Kanye's ex, Amber Rose: (http://media.onsugar.com/files/2011/01/02/5/192/1922153/ca09640c7db771c5_amber-rose-1.jpg) (http://images.starpulse.com/pictures/2011/05/12/previews/Amber%20Rose-TJO-005039.jpg) If this woman had a decent head of hair she would be a solid 10. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: EKnight on March 25, 2013, 05:38:14 pm WTF are you doing looking at her HEAD in that last pic??? -EK
Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Spider-Dan on March 25, 2013, 05:59:09 pm There are plenty of situations in which she won't be wearing something that shows off her divine body, but her scrub cut is still front-and-center.
That's my point. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Sunstroke on March 25, 2013, 06:51:49 pm I have absolutely no problem at all with her (lack of) hair style in those pictures...hair has never been a big deal for me. Granted, the shortest any girlfriend of mine ever had wasn't quite that buzzed, but I don't think adding hair to that woman would make her any more attractive for my tastes. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Spider-Dan on March 25, 2013, 07:33:56 pm A lid for every pot.
Though I would be a liar if I were to say her current haircut makes her anywhere near "unattractive." I'd just prefer her like this: (http://s2.hubimg.com/u/6745209_f260.jpg) Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: phinphan on March 27, 2013, 01:26:32 am Here a week or so ago I seen a commercial for the predators selling tickets and The guy talking said he was the new starting QB brought in to turn the team around. So the question for me is this would Tebow be handed the starters roll or would he have to compete for it, And if so and he couldn't win the spot in the AFL would he consider playing another position?
Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on March 27, 2013, 10:54:51 am As much as people knock on Tebow.... do you really think that which ever QB that wasn't good enough to even get a training camp try out in the NFL is really better than Tebow who is not a great QB is at least NFL backup material?
Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Spider-Dan on March 27, 2013, 12:23:02 pm Tebow is not remotely worth the amount of nonsense you have to deal with from the media, not to mention his entourage of Disciples. Ask Rex Ryan (or John Elway).
Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on March 27, 2013, 01:25:29 pm Tebow is not remotely worth the amount of nonsense you have to deal with from the media, not to mention his entourage of Disciples. Ask Rex Ryan (or John Elway). Both the Broncos and Jets get news coverage w/ or w/o Tebow. AFL barely gets noticed. Adding Tebow to a Florida AFL team could double or triple tickets sales. Denver and NYJ sell out either way. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Spider-Dan on March 27, 2013, 01:32:35 pm You misunderstand.
If you're an NFL coach or GM, do you want 30-70% of your press conferences (higher end is after losses) to consist of questions about Tim Tebow? Do you want your starting QB booed mercilessly by your home crowd after every interception? Because this is what you sign up for when you bring Tebow on board. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on March 27, 2013, 02:18:57 pm You misunderstand. Do you want your starting QB booed mercilessly by your home crowd after every interception? Because this is what you sign up for when you bring Tebow on board. If I am an NFL/AFL owner do I want more tickets sales, more jersey sales etc. and not give a shit about the content of the press confs as long as they are the lead on ESPN --- absolutely. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Spider-Dan on March 27, 2013, 05:27:13 pm If you're an owner, sure. Because you aren't going to be fired when the talking heads are screaming that you don't know what you're doing by keeping Tebow on the bench.

Everything isn't nice-nice in NY these days! Tebow's private coach is taking shots at Sanchez. Sanchez's private coach is taking shots at Tebow. lol Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MikeO on May 31, 2013, 04:24:34 pm http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/05/31/report-tebows-camp-is-privately-admitting-hes-done-in-the-nfl/
Looks like his NFL career is over Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Pappy13 on May 31, 2013, 05:24:39 pm This is the first time I've heard issues with knowing the playbook and other issues. Seems like the Bronco's thought there was more wrong with Tebow then just the fact that he wasn't an accurate QB.

Seems like the Bronco's thought there was more wrong with Tebow then just the fact that he wasn't an accurate QB. This is proof the Broncos won in spite of Tebow, not because of him. But I still remember a certain someone having a man crush on Tebow because of that playoff game: Easy- the Jets were 2 games better than Miami last year and they made a solid move to fix their worst offensive problem. HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! My nose is burning!!!!! I was drinking my coffee this morning and when I read this, I laughed so hard it came right out of my nose!!!! Tim Tebow is a "solid move" to fix the Jets worst offensive problem?? There's delusion and then there's statements like this. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: bsmooth on May 31, 2013, 08:04:19 pm This is the first time I've heard issues with knowing the playbook and other issues. I have been reading the reports about the pared down playbook just for him. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Landshark on June 10, 2013, 05:12:01 pm Tim Tebow just signed with New England according to B/R. Maybe he can teach Tom Brady to be a Godly dad.
Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on June 10, 2013, 06:00:22 pm He won't be the QB, but he stays in the league.
Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Brian Fein on June 10, 2013, 06:02:19 pm If any team can use Tebow properly and make him realize he's not a QB, its New England. I'm telling you, the league will start saying things like "why didn't any other team think of this?"
Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Landshark on June 10, 2013, 06:19:06 pm If any team can use Tebow properly and make him realize he's not a QB, its New England. I'm telling you, the league will start saying things like "why didn't any other team think of this?" I'm sure Aaron Hernandez is thrilled to have him there. Tebow is athletic enough to be a tight end option if Gronk can't go. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MikeO on June 10, 2013, 07:10:47 pm He won't be the QB, but he stays in the league. According to NFL.com and NFL Network Tebow was signed to play QB in New England. Since I don't see him beating out Brady or Mallet I stick to my stance he won't make the final roster. Just a training camp arm http://www.nfl.com/videos/new-england-patriots/0ap2000000210617/New-England-Patriots-to-sign-Tim-Tebow?campaign=Facebook_nfln_videos Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on June 10, 2013, 09:22:14 pm If any team can use Tebow properly and make him realize he's not a QB, its New England. I'm telling you, the league will start saying things like "why didn't any other team think of this?" Another team did think of this. The Jets. Problem the Jets had was Sanchez sucked so it became an issue. Tebow could have also signed with NO, GB etc without an issue. According to NFL.com and NFL Network Tebow was signed to play QB in New England. Since I don't see him beating out Brady or Mallet I stick to my stance he won't make the final roster. Just a training camp arm Who care what he is listed as. He doesn't have to beat out Mallet, he needs to beat out the bottom of the roster, TE, STer, FB. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MikeO on June 10, 2013, 09:31:40 pm Who care what he is listed as. He doesn't have to beat out Mallet, he needs to beat out the bottom of the roster, TE, STer, FB. Didn't work out so well when the Jets lined him up wide last year and had him go out for passes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmBOLCuMua8 Tebow is cutting weight this offseason, not what he needs to do to play TE or Fullback. Now he gonna reverse course and add weight!? Don't think so. You just don't "switch positions" to TE or FB on the NFL level with zero experience at those positions. He is a training camp QB who will be lucky to make the team or even make it to training camp. Pats have a history of signing "big name Vets" and cutting them in short order. They kick the tires on guys to see if anything is there. If Tebow makes the 53 man roster I would be very surprised. Pats lose Welker and add Tebow. I like the offseason they are having! ;) Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: CF DolFan on June 11, 2013, 11:17:56 am Am I the only one thinking Bill wants Tebow to succeed and will find a way to make it happen? I think old Bill loves to show people he can do things others can't.
Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Pappy13 on June 11, 2013, 01:00:11 pm I think this is just a matter of Bill kicking the tires on a prospective player, nothing more. If he likes what he sees he'll probably be kept on as the 3rd string QB, if not he'll be released with little fanfare either way.
BB is simply looking at options. If Brady stays healthy, I doubt Tebow ever sees the field, but if Brady misses a couple games for whatever reason, then things change and Mallet will be given his shot, but if he falters or if they just want to try something different, Tebow might see some reps. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MikeO on June 11, 2013, 07:34:35 pm Tebow's contract has no guaranteed money. Which tells you what they think of him.
They will keep him around for a bit then cut him lose when they gotta trim the roster with the real football players come September. They probably did this move so from now till Week 1 they don't have to answer questions about..."Why did ya let Welker go" everyday. Now they will just answer Tebow questions every day then cut him and avoid the Welker drama all preseason. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on July 26, 2013, 01:39:21 pm He was doing non-QB drills in camp.
With Hernadez gone, and Gronk questionable, he could be NE's starting Tight end. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Landshark on July 26, 2013, 02:14:48 pm He was doing non-QB drills in camp. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MikeO on July 26, 2013, 02:18:51 pm Which makes Belicheat look like a genius once again. he couldn't catch a pass or play tight end last year in NY. It's only a "genius" move if it works Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: Pappy13 on July 26, 2013, 06:46:36 pm Which makes Belicheat look like a genius once again. I'm absolutely ecstatic that Miami might have to cover Tim Tebow rather than Hernandez or Gronkowski. I fail to see how this makes Belicheck look good.Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on July 26, 2013, 08:31:22 pm I'm absolutely ecstatic that Miami might have to cover Tim Tebow rather than Hernandez or Gronkowski. I fail to see how this makes Belicheck look good. It doesn't yet. But it might or it might not. If at the end of the season Tebow is looking as good as Hernadez did, BB will look brilliant. While the Pats have missed on some players, NE has had more than their fair share of players that did better in NE than elsewhere - Welker, Woodhead, Cassel, Moss if Tebow is added to list BB will look brilliant. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MikeO on July 26, 2013, 08:56:35 pm I'm absolutely ecstatic that Miami might have to cover Tim Tebow rather than Hernandez or Gronkowski. Title: Re: Tebow gets Arena League offer Post by: MikeO on July 26, 2013, 09:02:12 pm But it might or it might not. If at the end of the season Tebow is looking as good as Hernadez did, BB will look brilliant. That statement right there is laughable on every level. If you think Tim Tebow has the potential in one season to be as good a tight end (or even close to as good) as a Pro Bowl caliber/elite tight end like Hernandez you have bought into "TEBOW-MANIA" and lost your mind. You can't be serious! You can't be!! If it's so friggin easy to just switch positions and play tight end why don't more guys do it? Every failed QB who has a little size should just switch to tight end if its so damn easy! lol Every guy who fails at safety or linebacker...just switch to TE. I mean it's just that easy right?! Tebow isn't a tight end. Wasn't in college. Wasn't last year in NY. And he won't be now. TE isn't the dummy position where you can just throw anyone there and expect them to pick it up overnight or even in one season and play at an NFL level. |
