Title: You heard it here first

League wide conspiracy

Patriots and Broncos are going to the AFC championship game.

This season has had a fishy feel to it.

And I think the league is out to get the Dolphins.

I propose a new forum entitled "Officiating Conspiracy/Philbin & Ireland need to be Fired"

That way D4L and Landshark will have their own place to post the same thing every day.

Yeah, the two top teams in the AFC end up meeting in the AFC Championship game...there has to be a conspiracy.

I heard a rumor that the NBA is in on it too, and are already planning a Miami-Indiana Eastern Conference Finals. Never mind that they are the only two teams in the East who don't suck on an epic scale...

Wait, what is that I hear? NHL Commissioner Bettman is conspiring to have a Boston-Pittsburgh Eastern Conference Finals as well.

It's a true sports traveshamockery, I'm telling ya...

The teams with the BEST Quarterbacks will meet up in the AFC Championship game.....oh my god! Really? Is Tim Donaghy now in charge of NFL Officials?!

Actually if Dalton keeps his hot hand I think Cincy will be playing Denver for the AFC Crown.

File this away under D

Under D?  What does that mean anyway?

Delusional.  Like your statement is at the beginning of this thread.

I already have a "D" folder, but it's full of repetitious rants about firing the Dolphin's GM and coaches and early season predictions about which NFL coaches will be fired.

Of the six candidates I listed early in the season, I was dead accurate on three.  That's a .500 batting average.  So take that out of the D file, go out to your backyard, stick that paper in a pile of kindling and set fire to it because that's all it's good for at this point.

Well, when your prediction success rate is as high as that of a pure coin flip, it's probably time to hang up the championship belt and retire on top.

edit: And then there's this:

And so far, I'm not saying that ANY of these coaches will be fired.
Atlanta's Mike Smith might be feeling the heat now as is the Dolphins Joe Philbin

So let's see, that's a .500 successful prediction rate on coaches... that you specifically denied saying would be fired... and excluding the other two coaches you also thought would be on the hot seat.

Perhaps the celebratory champagne should stay on ice for a bit longer.

It was junk.  Not only are half of the coaches you listed still employed, but a bunch of coaches you didn't list got fired.

Yep, horrible no PI call on the Patriots stops the Colts potential game tying drive

I don't see the conspiracy, here.  The Pats and Broncos are pretty clearly the two best teams from the AFC.  The Colts were never very good to begin with, and probably shouldn't have even advanced to the 2nd round anyway.

The only reason they did is because Spider's theory was correct that the chiefs are frauds

Most of the AFC were frauds...even the Chargers.

Dolphins should have taken advantage of all the weaknesses of a lot of AFC teams, but once again could not.  Now we're looking at probably the weakest Pats team to ever go to a Super Bowl or a powerhouse Denver offense with ultimately a BAD defense.

The only saving grace for either team that has to face the 49ers or Seahawks is that the weather potentially will be cold and ugly, which ultimately can even most games up.

The Pats had at least three wins gifted to them this year

^^^ And some think they were robbed when the refs picked up a thrown flag against the Panthers. Get over this conspiracy theory. It does not play well.

1985 says hello and it is not even close.  Arguable the 2001 Pats team was weaker than 2014.  But the 1985 Pats team wasn't just the weakest Patriots team to go to the superbowl it may be the weakest NFL team to ever make the playoffs.

^^^ Have to agree there. I almost felt sorry for the Patsies because of the epic beat-down the Bears gave them.

2014 NE doesn't seem much worse than 1997 NE, if you ask me.

The glaring gap at QB between Brady and nearly every other NE QB makes it tough to call any of his teams "the weakest."
